1. Yeah. Can't see it getting in the boot of a Polo like my Big One does... Might we worth it to stash at the studio though if it could be converted to 8 or even 16Ω. Save me lugging the Big One there and back. I always end up getting lazy and leaving it there, which is inconvenient when I want to make plates smash in the cupboards or when I have to retrieve the beast for gigs. I'll have words... there's a big old 2x15 up there that hogs loads of room, but is 4Ω and120W and I'm scared of it
2. Nice! What's it like size-wize with an Ampeg? My big rig is in the kitchen at the moment. My missus has taken to putting the post on top of it. No complaints this time though. She probably thinks it'll disappear after a gig on Saturday... but I'm getting used to it. Cup of tea and quick blast at rattling the double glazing whilst the kettle boils. I'm pretty sure I could bring the cupboards down off the walls if I tried hard enough
3. Hmmm. Was thinking it looks a bit unwieldy! Would be something great to leave at a studio though. Or use as a sideboard.
4. My Chevin power amp is lightweight and UK made. They don't make the model I've got anymore, but it's fan-bloody-tastic. 5. I'm supposing these could be rewired to be 8Ω Am I right?
6.
Lovely stuff, not really a Neil Young fan, but have had a couple in the setlist before, this sounds great! I take it thats you hiding behind the PA?
Ta very much. I've been practising my Ohio for about a week non-stop - chorus is a bit weak, but it's hard to play and sing it. Getting there! Yeah Unfortunate (or should that be fortunate?) camera angle, a random punter. Does a good job of hiding my mush and showing my beer gut!

8. If I had someone to carry it I'd have bought it from you in a flash Clarky. One day...
9. Facebook group for those inclined! https://www.facebook.com/events/270174543047784/
10. Short notice. Only confirmed end of last week... 11. Bugger. Bad week for me in the for sale section! Am ordering one of these on the 5th when my next credit card cycle starts! Is the bag worth it? £37.50 for a bag seems even more extortionate than £45 for a piece of carpeted ply with some foam stuck on
12. I've bought all three of my Precisions (I've sold one) without trying first. Been lucky that they've all been great basses. I've never come across a particularly bad un either, in a shop or not.
13.
I have just had an awful haircut.
Brilliant. My barnet looks much better in comparison to what I thought of it 5 minutes ago. Keep it Then again, at least you've got hair on top to cut...
14. Nothing to see here, all roundwound B stings rather than flat. Nothing amusing in that at all.
15.
This has been well established for a while now but many flat refuse to believe the truth.
I think it's quite delusional to think anything else. It's an electric bass. It's the electric components that mostly make up how they sound. The rest of it is human and ergonomics.
16.
I know what you re getting at, but with the same strings on, played unplugged my two basses sound like chalk and cheese. How do you account for that difference? And then when amplified that difference is heightened and flavoured by other different things- but unplugged they sound nothing like each other- same strings, put on the same time....
How often do you play electric bass without it amplified? What they sound like acoustically has little effect on how they sound amplified when compared to the pickups, electrics, strings and the amp itself. Though I agree, what they sound like acoustically does have a marginal effect. Especially if you know it and you're looking for it.
17. Yeah. How a bass sounds amplified is mostly about pickups, electrics, strings and the amp! Anything is else is marginal at best. Most difference will just be about playability, comfort and construction stability and what impact that has on the player and thus their sound, rather than a direct correlation. Crap bass and nice amp vs nice bass and crap amp? I know which one I'm going for.
18.
Lucky man, I've played that bass, it is indeed, a beauty!
Ta! Fantastic. Beautiful, easy to play, light and a really, amazing tone. Acoustically it's quite "wow!", amplified it's something else! Bargainous. Must get some work done today but I'm finding it quite hard with it tempting me...
19. She's mine... all mine Stevie is a lovely guy to deal with.
20. Use your strong bass playing hands to bend it back into shape. Best done whilst slightly snarling and saying "grrrrrr".
21. Not local, but played there a couple a months back and we're playing there again in April. It's a good venue. Great PA and we got a surprisingly good crowd considering we're not local and it was only us on a Thursday night before Christmas.
22.
Jesus wept
I know. I'm from Liverpool and I live in Nottingham... I went to Guildford once... can't say I remember much about it.
23.
Oh and Liverpool, scum capital of the UK
Know it well then do you?
