Well, around £500 is the going price on eBay. Personally, prefer this second generation configuration ('78-'80), but it's not as popular as the third and fourth generations ('81-'87). The pre-production and first generation versions ('76-'77) usually attract a small premium though. A very small point against this example would be the non-original strap pins.
Well, eBay is eBay... I could sell lots of my gear there for 'premium' prices. But believe me, I'm not going to make any profit on this bass (as on any other piece of kit I have ever sold). Fair enough to point out the strap pins. The base came to me fitted with nasty Schallers, which I replaced immediately. I will adapt my initial post. -

Hi, Up for grabs is the workhorse of my once omnipotent bass tower (and since there were no world tours scheduled, it didn't have much work to do, anyway).
no one does gold '51 style covers, only chrome ones. That's why I added a later style gold bridge cover
I think I saw gold 50's style covers once on the internet - some sort of specialized American company. Unfortunately, I don't remember which. -

*SORTED* For Trade: Markbass Distorsore Valve Distorsion

Now sorted, thanks! Hi, I received this in a trade, but unfortunately it doesn't suit my style. It's in perfect technical condition, the only thing is that the rubber feet at the bottom are missing (but I can throw in some from my collection if necessary). I will trade this one for another overdrive/distortion/fuzz, a nice flanger or an auto-wah (doesn't need to be bass-specific, since I can crossover/mix a guitar effect signal). Units which I don't consider (because I already own/owned or don't like them): Fulltone Bassdrive, Hughes and Kettner Tube Factor, Rodenberg Bass 728B, Ashdown Lomenzo, Boss ODB3, EBS ValveDrive, AnalogMan Sun Face, Digitech BSW, Jacques TubeBlower, EBS MetalDrive.
I think this is a great little toy, brilliant to look at and my kinda sound too.
One could say that it's a toy based on its size and weight, but tone-wise it really teaches the big guys some new tricks (and certainly sounds bigger than most of 'em). -

Now sold pending payment, thanks Bob! Hello, Up for sale or trade is my 1965 Hofner Club Bass 500/2. Pot codes 405 and 425. The usual ultra-lightweight at 2.3kg. The bass has aged nicely and feels just right. It is currently strung with a set of well broken-in Thomastik flatwounds, and needless to say, that thumpy tone is right there. No issues with playability, neck is straight and there are no cracks to be seen anywhere. The pickguard and one volume control's top are missing. The strap pin screw at the bridge looks non-original to me, because it doesn't have the same amount of tarnish as the rest of the assembly. A fitting gig bag is included. The bass is located in Austria, but I have plenty of experience with shipping internationally. Insured shipment to the UK with GLS is 22.50£ / 26.90€. This lovely bass is simply too different from my Precisions, and I have too many basses anyway. Sale price: [s]625£ / 750€[/s] [s]607£ / 725€[/s] Final price drop: 595£ / 700€ Trades:

Precision bass (Fender or old Squier/Tokai etc, rosewood fingerboard with vintage 7.xx radius, weighing no more than 4kg)
Markbass F1/F500 amp
Barefaced Midget cabinet
Markbass New York 121 cabinet

I have a Markbass Distorsore and am looking for a fulltone. Is it of interest for you? Here are some pics: http://picasaweb.google.com/10657284609143...235471357890786 Edit: we could trade with P&P supported by each. I'm in Portugal.
Hmm, the sound samples on the net do nothing for me, but perhaps you could send me some more convincing ones? Also, is the power supply included, because this unit seems to draw a lot of current...
