I used to watch the Oscar Peterson show in a previous life (when TV was quality) with Pederson on DB. I wasn't really a jazz fan as such, but I was mesmerised by his playing.

Great venue and a Markbass 6 x 10" rig to boot.

I don't think it will be a sell-out (we wish, although numbers are usually healthy and we came close one year). I'm a bit concerned about the weather, but the firecast for Sunday seems OK. Usually onstage for 9.

I would have a Tobias mid-90s Classic 5, Lacewood top, well-gigged...hang on, I've already got one, and it's for sale at only £1000! How silly of me.

I'm not sure what you mean here. The bass sound is pretty ordinary to me...or am I missing something. This band probably sampled everything, then messed about with it. I don't trust bass sounds on record these days, as there's so much you can do to them via EQ, effects, etc.
