1. I think production began in 1980.
2. I don't think it's a Steinberger. Sounds like a Jazz to me.
3. A great cab and a true bargain.
4. That doesn't look like a Steinberger to me.
5. Maybe a Friday afternoon too-much-Tequila back from the pub happy accident? You never know.
6. In the pic it looks like a Mex Blue Agave to me.
7.
I'll have to arrange my future plans around your August show!
No probs, Mr Funk. *BLATANT PLUG ALERT* There's always the forthcoming Live At The Stables DVD, expected beginning of Feb.
8.
Damn - Just recently started getting into the Dan properly (knew a few of their tunes before hand but never really made an effort to check out more of their stuff) and I would have loved to have seen this, but unfortunately I'm gigging myself. Good luck with the gig, hopefully I'll be available for the August show
No probs. The weather might be better then
9.
Stunner!! Do I need a Roscoe 6..............................?????
Come on, you know you want it. I'm sure the Godfather would lend you the money.
10. I used to watch the Oscar Peterson show in a previous life (when TV was quality) with Pederson on DB. I wasn't really a jazz fan as such, but I was mesmerised by his playing.
11. Maybe he works for some secret government body and this is a telepathic experiment?
12.
Does it have an active/passive switch? Does it have a name? My Stingray is called Keira after Keira Knightely because it has a natural finish and Keira Knightely is all natural. Just wondering if your Stingray has a name like Brian or maybe Melissa.
Does it pout a lot in an extremely annoying way?
13. Great venue and a Markbass 6 x 10" rig to boot.
14. Namm Show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gfw2OE3Nogw
15.
Maybe I just don't have the groove. It's the fact it's an open E that I find it a little difficult to control so that it "thumps" rather than "rings"?
Ah, I see.
16. I'm not sure what you mean. This is a relatively simple bassline and groove. Very straightforward.
17. A quick bump up now that the snow's clearing.
18.
Have you ever played in Ruislip at theVale? They put on lots of top covers bands there.
Never played there, but might check it out.
19. I don't think it will be a sell-out (we wish, although numbers are usually healthy and we came close one year). I'm a bit concerned about the weather, but the firecast for Sunday seems OK. Usually onstage for 9.
20. I would have a Tobias mid-90s Classic 5, Lacewood top, well-gigged...hang on, I've already got one, and it's for sale at only £1000! How silly of me.
21.
There would be a fretless Roscoe 5 in there. Probably a Century Signature, but I would have to be careful with the spec to keep the weight right down... And another fretted one, but with a bit more bling than my Standard maybe.... An early 70's J bass too, cos I like that funky burp.
Roscoes rule!
22. I'm not sure what you mean here. The bass sound is pretty ordinary to me...or am I missing something. This band probably sampled everything, then messed about with it. I don't trust bass sounds on record these days, as there's so much you can do to them via EQ, effects, etc.
23.
That's what I like about you. Most of us would now launch a 12 page rant...
