  2. He doesn't slap often, but this groove is tasteful. Awesome sound, too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muXS0q-3sUA
  3. I've cleaned my strings in a dishwasher in the past. Works a treat.
  4. This Saturday 24 September at The Platform, Morecambe.
  5. Excellent!
  6. I sold this bass brand new to Wayne. As a fretless, it's what you expect - beautiful tone and playability. I've played it as a fretted and Doug Wilkes has done an amazing job making the neck. Great bass.
  7. Bloody hell, that's lovely.
  8. Richard Bona with Pat Metheny live. It's not just his soloing, his accompaniment to Metheny's playing is an amazing piece of fretless work. http://www.notreble.com/buzz/2011/09/04/pat-metheny-bright-size-life-live-with-richard-bona/
  9. These seem like a good idea. Only available from the US, I would guess. www.bassbrites.com
  10. I got absolutely pissed in the Basschat Arms last night. Woke up on one of the seats this morning and everything has changed. Where am I?
  11. I think it's a real coup for Bass Day. From what I've heard, Marcus doesn't come cheap.

  16. Excellent!
  17. I can't fault your playing. Great relaxed slap style. Lovely sounds from your basses. Nice one.

  23. It might just be me. I've pulled a muscle in my back and am officially Mr Grumpy.
  24. Quotes like this really piss me off. "£27 to watch Marcus Miller going slap slap slap slap slap ? No ta.......... " What do these people base their opinions on? A couple of YouTube vids? Something they heard in the pub?
