1.
Don't look too happy about it will ya' Nice... I have serious GAS for another. My Bassline EUB has to go and I'm going to have to consider my bass position carefully. Thinking of going 'all Roscoe'.
Ha! That was my bass face.
 2. I was actually going to order a custom-built one, but a few years ago I went to a music show to see Mark and he'd just received delivery of a few basses, one of which was the bass I bought. It's an ash body, bubinga top, wenge fingerboard, and an uprated neck with wenge stringers.
 3. At last, a Roscoe thread! I was looking for a bass to replace my Tobias Classic 5, which had been gigged constantly for 15 years, I'd heard of Roscoe, so I did a bit of reaearch and ended up buying one from Bass Direct (I was their first Roscoe customer). This pic was taken on the day I picked my bass up in Mark's home. These basses are purely hand-built in a small factory, without the price tag of a Fodera.

 6.
If only there was an Aberdeen date let me know if you fancy a gig this far!
We used to do Aberdeen.
 7. That new Markbass valve amp looks interesting.
 8. A quick bump up. Please note, the Saturday Glasgow gig starts at 7.30pm.
 9. Ha! That Roy Ayers track is awesome!
 10. IO once sold a Jaco signature bass to someone. It arrived with flats and sounded quite bad. A set of roundwounds transformed it into the Jaco growl immediately.
 11. I don't think he was too bothered about rounds eating into the fretboard, as he put so many coats of lacquer on it.
 12.
Mate i was blasting that out in my car on the way home from work last night, very impressed. loved it.
Thanks mate.
 13.
Going to come to the Glasgow gig Pete.
Say hello, mate.

List of kit used please , and yes more bass in da mix.
My 79 Jazz straight into the desk, then through an Ampeg preamp. These are the guys that wrote three tracks on the new Robbie album, including 'Morning Sun'. Just a jam, really. new mix coming soon.
 15. The lady in the avatar will be selling merchandise.
 16. Nearly Dan play The Voodoo Rooms, Edinburgh on Friday 15 April. Then Oran Mor, Glasgow on Saturday 16 April.
 17. Fantastic job. I remember learning this and having to go and lie down in a darkened room every half an hour.
 18. So, do we get a Basschat history?
 19. By learning our Steely Dan set, my playing, learning and listening skills have improved immensely, as I don't read music and have to play by ear.
 20.
Ah, you mean like this?
21.
It's a free service. You don't have to use it. You have alternatives like eBay You get timewasters everywhere Timewasters are outnumbered heavily and you may have had bad luck but these threads happen from time to time. Because that would be impossible to police and would largely be a waste of time in itself. All we can do is advise but you'll always get a numpty who will ignore that advice, in any business. I can assure you that the situation you describe is EXTREMELY common in shops, too. I can see why you are frustrated but let's look at the bigger picture. Go and punch something. ped
Music shops are indeed no different. I recently had a teacher accompany one of his pupils to find a beginner;s guitar. He brought a ruler and was measuring the action and neck width and depth. Why not just ask the pupil what felt comfortable?
 22. I haven't sold much stuff but when I tried to sell my Tobias Classic 5 last year, an Italian bloke drove me bananas with question after question and requests for countless photos and carriage charges. Luck of the draw, maybe?
 23.
Waaaay more bass Pete! Loving it though, proper slap and all that, and you just cant go wrong with Bootsy and JB for samples
I didn't mix it, but I have asked a more bass-heavy version.
 24. I think you'd struggle for twenty quid.
 25.
Nice! You are Marcus Miller and I claim my five pounds!!
Ha! The cheque's in the post.
