1. Richard Bona is just the dog's bollocks.
2. I was talking to Doddy today about her, as he's just bought the Plantation Lullabies album. I think she's amazing. Her sense of groove is sublime and totally natural. Check out these tracks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpdzEpGIqtY Amazing bassline and sound. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDbRKB7oLEQ Just total groove, playing from the heart.
3. Already been done in a thread. Sorry.
4. I've contacted John before now via his website. Give him a call or email and he should be happy to help you.
5.
A few from our WOMA tribute gig to our former bandleader, Doreen Thobekile, at the Roundhouse in London a couple of weeks ago. It was a truly wonderful and emotional night. The singer is Doreen's daughter, Ingrid, who sang with Soul II Soul in the '90s and with her mum. The rest of the band are me on bass and members of Transglobal Underground (who Doreen sang with for a while) we were Doreen's band for her solo work. Doreen sadly died in June last year from cancer. We miss her.
Great photos, Nige.
6. My mate has a Classic Vibe Jazz and fitted a J-Retro, Sounds amazing. He may be on for selling it, as he's not gigging.
7. He's pissed.

25. I think strings, cables, effects, etc would be OK, but a bass and amp would be more personal.
