2. Imagine serving a woman who says: 'My son sent me in for a Big Muff.'
3. Our drummer does the Wogan gig. He used to go to music college in Manchester with the bass player. He said the Incognito guys, especially Bluey, were great.

5. Looks like the website's fixed now. Thanks for the tip offs.

7. Very nice indeed.
8.
Hi Steve Thanks for that, I'll try posting some stuff later on today. I was with Morrissey-Mullen from early 1982 to around August 1983. The support gig I did with them at the Hammersmith Odeon was with Roy Ayers. While I was with them we gigged on an average of 5 to 6 nights a week. We played the Half Moon in Putney every Tuesday- maybe you saw us there? I recorded an album with them called "It's About Time" and Jim Mullen used Hubbard's Cubbard as a backing band for his solo album called "Thumbs Up." After I got back from the Warriors Tour with Numan I returned and gigged with them for another 6-months. After that Jim and Dick wanted a change so that line-up disbanded. Henry Thomas filled in for me while I was with Gary and I think Trevor Barry joined the new line-up. I learned a lot from that gig and Jim and Dick were both great mentors. Peace Joe
Good to see you on the forum, Joe. I've still got the 'Bud' album on vinyl. You did a seminar in Stoke in the 80s for our store, R & B Music. I think it was some connection with Peavey. A great night, as I recall.
9. Hang on...it's an Atelier Z, I think.
10. Not sure what the bass is. Excellent stuff, though.
11. Should say on the bass where it's made.
12.
"Bovine Noir" was also wonderful
Black Cow. Lyrics in French.
13. We were approached by a film company, who offered us a deal. They filmed the gig at the Stables last October. To cut a very long story short, they don't seem to be experienced in live music filming, so the footage is in limbo at present. The audio came out really well, so we did a CD instead. I can fully understand people not wanting to buy a recording of another band's material, but if anyone's interested, please contact me.
14.
To quote my mate, "if you could play that well sober, we'd be going somewhere!"
15. Err...we have a live CD recorded at the Stables theatre in Milton Keynes last year, if anyone's interested. Don't tell Bilbo.
16.
Excellent, I'm hopefully going to catch Pete and the gang at The Sage in Gateshead in a few weeks time! After I have moved to London, I also hope to get to a Jazz Cafe gig. I heard a rumour that the epic Aja might have been added to the setlist... Oh, and you guys are right, Pete can really play. His slap work on My Old School still rings true with me!
I think the Sage might be sold out. Aja is back in the set.

18. I personally like BGM. This month had two good interviews with my heroes, Stanley and Bootsy, and I like the new Stefan funk feature. Apart from Guitar And Bass mag, which seems to feature less and less bass each time, there's no other mags to buy except Bass Player. Overall, I think the guys do a great job of trying to please everyone.
19.
NO NO Dont get me wrong people I own 2 MM basses! nowt wrong with a bit of slap just not 15-20 people at a time all in a different key and tempo!
Not paying attention to you, Pete...too busy staring at your avatar.
20. Thanks Nigel! It was a real pleasure meeting you and Diane, too. Thanks for the positive comments. The JC is our favourite gig. It's always a really appreciative crowd in there. Although we play the stuff as faithfully as possible, we try not to take things too seriously. The bass is a Roscoe SKB5 straight through the house MB rig of an 800w amp and 6 x 10" cab. The sax player is James Knight, a London session player. The drummer is Bryan Hargreaves, who's played with jakesbass quite a few times, and now does the Wogan radio show gig. Great drummer to play with.
21. Anyone seen these guys from Japan? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYKVvysl-Mo
22. Room For Squares is one of my favourite albums.
23. Black Cow filmed by someone in the audience. ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRy6efeugNk
