1.
EDIT: just seen your other questions about taxes. Add 20% to the total cost of the bass and shipping and that should give you an idea of what UK customs will want.
Noticed it stated that you should expect to pay Customs fees and duties on both the value of goods and cost of postage/carriage. This is incorrect. You will, of course, be liable to Import Duty (circa 3%) and VAT (circa 17.5%) on the value of goods only, as well as a Customs clearance fee (flat rate). Any charge for cross-border postage/carriage will already include local taxes and is therefore not subject to UK duties or charges. You should make certain that your vendor correctly completes the appropriate US Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note prior to posting.
2. Was trying this out today, and liked the feel and tone. Not sure of year of manufacture, but in very good condition. What sort of price would be about right?
3. Kinda wondering why this is posted here, and not in the eBay threads section, as you’re running a business and not actually selling the bass here on the forum. But maybe that’s just me.
4.
I think £700 is a good starting price for that. And may i just say that's an AMAZING looking bass there! XB, you forget that what costs $1200 over in america, generally will cost about £1200 over here.
Not these days. A $1200 bass, at current exchange rates, including carriage costs, import duty, Customs fee and courier clearance fee, a little over £800. Based on my experiences from March and May.
5. My guitarist nearly had an aneurysm when I mentioned to him that I was planning to sell my VLM. But given that I really don’t play electric much these days I’ve decided to move it on. And before anyone points it out, yes, I know this is a guitar combo, but some of us lower our standards and pick up a six-string, from time to time. All the technical specification and information you could want can be found at http://www.studiomaster.com/1981%20-%201982.htm so I’ll not add anything here. Hopefully the photos will show that the combo is in fantastic condition for its age, with only a few cosmetic marks to the finish of the wood cabinet, although some of the vinyl print to the front plate has started to wear off also. Happy to accept PayPal, and to organise a courier, or for any buyer to organise collection. Looking for offers around £400.
6. I'd be interested in that. Got a pic?
7. Can anyone tell me why this site keeps moving? Or why my last ID and password wouldn't work this time? Starting to think that all us bassists must be moonlighting as midnight men of the likes!
