  1. Currently there is a Lutheran on my rack, but I'm pretty sure he's close to converting.
  2. They actually had Greg's Alembic 8 string for sale in Andy's in Denmark St. many years ago. It was a beast!
  3. I've yet to hear an octave pedal used on bass that I didn't think sounded bloody awful. I have a load of Eventide pedals that I use on keyboards & guitar & even the octaver on the Pitchfactor sounds bloody awful to me. Same with the ones built into amps. I loved my old Ashdown ABM combo but the sub octave thing was utter shite to my ears.
  4. Don't Do Me Like That - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
  5. That's a long time to wait to get a bona.
  6. I prefer Branston Baked Beans to any other make, I've used them exclusively for years.
  7. This is my only reason for doing anything musically. The reason why I stopped gigging was that I got absolutely nothing out of it. I'm not an "entertainer" by nature & have absolutely no desire to be one. I'm at my happiest when I'm just working on my own in my little music room seeing what I come up with. I enjoy the process far more than the end product.
  8. Over the years I've come to realise that solos in live performances are largely aimed at the non-musicians in the audience, who can just enjoy it for what it is & not indulge in an orgy of chin-stroking & dissection over every note/phrase/nuance.
  9. I love a good solo. Very much depends on who's doing it though - Trilock Gurtu drum/percussion solo, yes please. Tommy Lee drum solo, no thanks. 🙂 Same with other instruments - there are great solos & there are duffers trying to wing it & failing miserably.
  10. Bought a beautiful Bacchus bass from Paul. Excellent to deal with, very smooth transaction from start to finish. Bass arrived very well packaged & beautifully set up. Many thanks!
  11. Bloody Hell Matt, that's a stunner! 😍
  12. I've gone through brief periods of using various pedals but I invariably go back to not using them pretty quickly. I'm not even that interested in amps if I'm honest, so long as I can hear myself I don't really care what it is.
  13. T-Dog does some awesome finishing work, don't think there's a better finisher in the country right now.
