Great colour. Bloody good price too for a Japanese Fender.

It might not even be a Fender - the yanks had a habit of referring to ANY electric bass on a recording as "Fender Bass" for many years.

It works the other way too - stuff manufactured in Europe is a lot more expensive in the USA than it is here. Pyramid & Thomastick strings are incredibly expensive in the USA for example.

I love my Zons but since buying my Spector Euro 5LX earlier this year I never play them. There are other instruments I want to get (not basses) & the only way I can do that is by selling the ones I don't use anymore.

The Diamond range was made by Aria. Age-wise it's probably from the mid to late 70s. Pictures would be useful
