2.
Have you had your end away?
Do you mean "recently" or "ever"?
3.
....but I'm coming through in the generation of tab and eighth notes, not transcribing and quavers......
Don't panic, you can still buy Quavers - I had a packet yesterday.
4. I recently bought a 5 string bass after 30 years of playing 4 strings, mainly because I got fed up with people asking me if I played 5 string, and if not why not? Now I can at least say I tried it & it wasn't really for me. 99% of my favourite players play 4 string, and I've never heard anybody play anything on a 5 string that made me think "WOW! I've just GOT to have that low B".
5.
I heard from a representative at Zon at the beginning of the week, saying my bass will ship at the end of the week. We're just discussing which courier to use, and I may ask them to hold off until the early New Year now.... but it's imminent! (pauses to touch wood)
Excellent news! Pics & review asap please.
6.
If i remember correctly the hex hole on the screws is 2mm, i can't remember the rest of the details. Liam
If it's a US bass the size is very unlikely to be metric.
7. AARRGGHH!!! I got the money together to buy this the last time you had it for sale but you withdrew it before I could contact you. That money has now gone......Bollocks.
8. When you're only really continuing to play because of the amount of time & money you've invested in it over the years.
9. There are times when her voice sounds uncannily like Karen Carpenter (no bad thing IMO) but I don't think it's fair to say she's a clone - there are just as many times when she doesn't sound like her.
10. "Slow" is a great song & she's got a lovely voice but the album is pretty dull.
11.
Fer Christsakes...!! ...also Maria Makee...
I've already suggested a Maria McKee song - she was the singer with Lone Justice.
12. "S" prefix starting with a 9 puts it at mid 1980 at the earliest - more likely to be sometime in 1981.
13.
ha ha... actually, there was a Brummie and a Cockney in there too...
Oh God help us. (I actually like to hear a nice regional accent on a woman, and the Geordie accent is one of my favourites).
14.

Very nice indeed, and only slightly spoiled by the fact that they all probably sound like Jimmy Nail when they talk.
15. She looks like Dug Pinnick from Kings X.
16. If they are American made they'll be imperial sizes, not metric - you'll need to get a set of imperial sized Allen keys to find the right one.
17. This is my old Odyssey, and it's a bloody great bass.
18. The fuzz bass part on "Think for yourself" from Rubber Soul is a favourite of mine - it's also the very first bassline I ever learned (I used an old JEM fuzz box that plugged straight into the bass to get a suitable sound). There's some really great bass playing all over "Rubber Soul".
19. Both my Rickenbacker 4001's - if I'd known how much people would pay for these terrible planks in years to come.....
20. The only thing that is a total no-no for me are sunburst finishes. I don't like black or white finishes either, though I would make an exception for a black/maple neck Precision or Stingray. My other "most hated" finish used to be Candy Apple Red, but I've just bought a Stingray 5 in CAR that I think looks lovely, though it is a lot darker than many other CAR finishes I've seen. I generally like to see blues, greens & purples used as they're still fairly uncommon.
21. Apart from the original Steinberger basses I can't think of anything I would class as revolutionary. Lots of great ideas & tweaks to make things better yes, but revolutionary no.
22.
Would this be ok to use on a Wenge Board?
Isn't a Wenge Board one of those things you use to contact the dead?
23.

That's exactly what Joe Zon recommends for the phenowood fingerboards on his basses.
