1. There are times when her voice sounds uncannily like Karen Carpenter (no bad thing IMO) but I don't think it's fair to say she's a clone - there are just as many times when she doesn't sound like her.
2. "Slow" is a great song & she's got a lovely voice but the album is pretty dull.
3.
Fer Christsakes...!! ...also Maria Makee...
I've already suggested a Maria McKee song - she was the singer with Lone Justice.
4. "I found love" by Lone Justice.
5. "S" prefix starting with a 9 puts it at mid 1980 at the earliest - more likely to be sometime in 1981.
6.
ha ha... actually, there was a Brummie and a Cockney in there too...
Oh God help us. (I actually like to hear a nice regional accent on a woman, and the Geordie accent is one of my favourites).
7.

Very nice indeed, and only slightly spoiled by the fact that they all probably sound like Jimmy Nail when they talk.
8. She looks like Dug Pinnick from Kings X.
9. If they are American made they'll be imperial sizes, not metric - you'll need to get a set of imperial sized Allen keys to find the right one.
10. This is my old Odyssey, and it's a bloody great bass.
11. The fuzz bass part on "Think for yourself" from Rubber Soul is a favourite of mine - it's also the very first bassline I ever learned (I used an old JEM fuzz box that plugged straight into the bass to get a suitable sound). There's some really great bass playing all over "Rubber Soul".
12. Both my Rickenbacker 4001's - if I'd known how much people would pay for these terrible planks in years to come.....
13. The only thing that is a total no-no for me are sunburst finishes. I don't like black or white finishes either, though I would make an exception for a black/maple neck Precision or Stingray. My other "most hated" finish used to be Candy Apple Red, but I've just bought a Stingray 5 in CAR that I think looks lovely, though it is a lot darker than many other CAR finishes I've seen. I generally like to see blues, greens & purples used as they're still fairly uncommon.
14. Apart from the original Steinberger basses I can't think of anything I would class as revolutionary. Lots of great ideas & tweaks to make things better yes, but revolutionary no.
15. Hey Zoe, good to see you!
16.
Would this be ok to use on a Wenge Board?
Isn't a Wenge Board one of those things you use to contact the dead?
17.

That's exactly what Joe Zon recommends for the phenowood fingerboards on his basses.
18. When I woke up this morning I had absolutely no plans whatsoever to buy a bass..... 10 hours later now & I'm the proud owner of this: Double first for me - my first 5 string bass & my first Musicman. It looks like Candy Apple Red in the photo but it's actually a lot darker, sort of a metallic burgundy. Lovely bass, and after 2 years of playing nothing but my Zons it feels very....woody.
19.
No nosh though, not with them teeth.
20.
I bet most will get a lick or a feel from him...
So he's a bit of a slut too is he?
21. I just love this 1980s Fernandes half size Mockingbird bass: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
22. I should be at the Cardiff gig - really enjoyed the one last year. Have you got the pole dancers supporting you again?
23. REALLY wanted to go to this gig, but I just couldn't get there. I don't drive & the train times meant I would have had to have left well before the end of the gig. I love her first album - it's one of the most regularly played things on my ipod.
24. There hasn't been a music shop in Wales with a decent bass selection since Livewire closed in the 90's. Jaydee, Status, Alembic, Manson, Pangbourn, Steinberger, Wal & many others - it was the best music shop there has ever been in Wales (if not the UK) IMO.
25. What's the string spacing at the bridge?
