2. Nice one Sarah!
3. Dynacord gear is serious pro quality stuff We used to sell Dynacord bass amps in the shop I worked in during the 80s - they used to make a 1x15 combo that was absolutely f***ing awesome!
4.
Since some tard's placed a bid rather than hitting the BIN, it'll be around for a week. And I don't expect it'll be any particular bargain either. Jon.
I can't believe somebody placed a bid when the BIN was so good for a Rick. What a f***ing idiot.
5. "Its a non battery instrument with 3 tone settings and volume control knob and a pitchshifter" ??????????????????? That's Carmarthenshire for you................

8.
(my amp is an Ashdown and most engineers I've found do not like the DI output on Ashdowns).
Really? I've had nothing but glowing praise for the excellent quality of the DI whenever I've used my old ABM C110 combo to record or play live.
9. Bump for a bargain!
10.
I replaced the nut on my P bass a couple of months ago and it was a piece of cake. I bought a Tusq one off the web, used the highly scientific method of gently tapping the old nut out sideways with a hammer and a flathead screwdriver, and slotted the new one straight in. Maybe I was lucky that the replacement nut was exactly the right size and needed no sanding down to fit, but it couldn't have been simpler.
Did it have the string slots already cut? If so you were lucky that they didn't need adjusting. Taking the old nut off & fixing the new one in place isn't the tricky bit - cutting the slots properly is.
11. Personally I'd go for a graphite or a Tusq (synthetic ivory) nut. If you don't have any experience of cutting/filing nut slots I'd definitely get it done by somebody that knows what they're doing. It's a very easy thing to get wrong.
12. There's a rather gorgeous Chandler Royale 12 string bass on Ebay at the moment for a very reasonable "£1500 or best offer". http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CHANDLER-ROYALE-USA-...=item4cf0ab79fc Lovely!
13. My custom built early 80s Jaydee Supernatural. The neck was so unstable I spent more time adjusting the f***ing thing than playing it. Sound-wise it was a bit of a one-trick pony too. Did the Mark King thing brilliantly but sounded sh*t for anything else.
14. I've never thought of myself as a musician because I have no musical knowledge.
15. Hello Tom, Forum rules for selling gear say that "You must state a price for your item. Anything without a price clearly stated will be subject to removal".

19.
Hopefully these two will be keepers and my GAS will stop, if it doesn't does anyone know the cure??
Death is the only cure.
20. I love it. I think the Mini Moog is probably the greatest bass instrument of all time. I really love synths & keyboards of all types. If I ever won the lottery my first purchases would be a Mellotron & a Minimoog.
21. My life as a "musician" so far leads me to expect that I will die bitter, unfulfilled & in poverty.
22.
I agreed to pay the asking price; no more,no less.- I think that puts the gazumping claim where it belongs..
You said you spoke to him on Friday "and agreed a deal". There are four people who spoke to him before Friday yet your post made it sound like a done deal, which of course is going to piss people off if they'd contacted the seller before you.
23.
+1 and, for example: Maybe I'm Amazed Jet Band on the Run Live and Let Die Silly Love Songs Coming Up C Moon (and many more) could easily have been great Beatles songs.
To quote Alan Partridge: "Wings were the band the Beatles could have been."
24.
Can any of you WAL owners out there have a go at describing the WAL neck profile ? Ive never even seen a Wal in the flesh, let alone played one, but am really intreagued to know what the neck profile is like ?
The ones I've played have had very narrow necks that have quite a pronounced "V" profile. I've really never got on with Wals. They are beautifully made basses, they're just not right for me.
25. "Based loosely on one of John Paul Jones' 1970s custom basses". I'm assuming he means JPJ's 8 string BecVar bass. The key word is obviously "loosely".............
