1.
Never thought I would see Yngwie on the Eurovision Song Contest.
Yeah, that was a surprise!
  2.
i would rather watch my cat have a sh*t.
The "Serious Musicians" have started to arrive...
  3.
Do you guys think they have got any chance?
Honestly? Not a hope in hell. They'll be right at the bottom of the voting like the UK has been for years. I think the UK has fully deserved the poor votes they've for ages now to be honest, our entries have been atrocious even by Eurovision standards.
  4. Apparently there is a new two part voting system this year, with a sort of count down at the end rather than the usual seeing the votes come in one at a time so you won't know who's won until the very end.
  5. It's the only music show on TV I ever watch.
  6. They've got one of the blue Jack Casady models in the window of a music shop in Cardiff & it looks really nice.
  7. I've never been able to understand why this band are so incredibly popular.
  8. What about a three piece band dressed as Donald Ducks nephews & playing the music of Huey Lewis, called "Huey, Dewey & Louie Lewis & the News".
  9.
I don't know any Bassists who criticise their peers - we're only ever supportive of each other.
Really?
  10. Don't let anyone else play your bass. Don't worry about it, I've owned loads of high end basses & I'm sh*t considering how long I've been playing.
  11.
Um.. are you sure that's what you mean??
12. I was once kicked out of a band for no other reason than the drummer (who's band it was) was shagging my girlfriend & he didn't want me around to make things awkward. She f***ed off with him shortly afterwards. Glad to be shot of her if I'm truthful, she was a psycho.
  13.
Not sure he'll be interested in paying over the odds for it though.
That pretty much rules out anything that Andy Baxter is selling then.
  14.
I was just thinking a v shaped hanger would work... Is it one of these?
Yes, that looks like the one. I think the model number is GS100 but I've had it a few years so that might have changed now. If you let me know the width of your Wals neck I'll measure the jaws for you to see if it'll fit if you want.
  15.
I could really do with a decent "hang from the head" style stand for my Wal but I can't find one with wide enough jaws to fit the neck in ... any recommendations greatly appreciated.
The Ultimate Support stand I've got has a V shaped hanger so it will take a lot of different neck sizes.
  16. Your tutor is wrong. If you prefer to play with a light touch & turn the amp up to compensate for any perceived lack of volume that is up to you, there's nothing wrong with doing that at all.
  17. After a string of problems with defective Hercules products I started using Ultimate Support stands which I find are much better quality.

  19.
I used to use those little square things that were on the end of sliced bread packs.
What did you start using after rationing ended?
  20.
I just bought a few sets of these off amazon. https://www.amazon.c...8161_TE_3p_dp_1 Similar principle to the grolsh washers but hopefully easier to get on and off... thought I'd give them a whirl anyway at £3.45
They're pretty difficult to get on if your strap is quite thick. I've had the twisty locking bit come away from the other part too, which is why i stopped using them.

You probably would have been better off having a look at your options first to be honest. That Alesis interface should be OK though so long as you don't want to record with more than one mic/track at a time. Focusrite do some really good starter packages with interface, mic, leads etc. that are really good value.
