  1. I had the chance to buy a used twin neck Wal in the late 80's for £395.00...
  2. I thought they were meant to go on the shelf.
  3. Just how "Masterbuilt" can a Fender be? Are the body & neck completely carved by hand with no CNC machinery used anywhere in the process? I somehow doubt it. OK, materials may be top notch, but at the end of the day a fender is basically a wooden Meccano kit. They certain don't require the level of skill that a high end acoustic or hollowbody electric would need.
  4. Whispering Grass - Don Estelle & Windsor Davies
  5. A Walk in the Black Forest - Horst Jankowski
  6. Indeed. One of my favourite slap lines is Freddie Washington on Patrice Rushen's "Forget Me Nots" Simple line, great tone. A classic.
  7. One of the pictures of Larry Graham used in this video is actually Stanley Clarke.
  8. Love potion Number 9 - Tygers of Pan Tang
  9. I like a nice bit of slap bass, but I had to stop watching after "What's up guys?"
  10. Don't know how much room you've got at the "headstock" end but something like a velcro wrist weight might do the job. Alternatively just use a grippier strap.
  11. I picked up a very cheap (£125.00) secondhand Sterling SUB 4 a few months ago out of curiosity more than anything else & was really surprised by how good it was. Very good quality, lovely neck & sounded really good too. I honestly thought it was a better bass than the "proper" Musicman Stingray 5 I owned a while ago.
  12. He's really bloody irritating, isn't he?
  13. They're one of those bands (and there are quite a few) that everyone seems to love but just don't do anything for me. I do have a lot of time for dave Grohl though, he seems like a genuinely nice guy.
  14. Sorry seems to be the hardest word - Elton John
  15. I don't know about that, I'm 56 & I've yet to be wrong about anything.
  16. Perfectly happy using either, just depends on the sound I'm going for.
