Are they 2015 models available in stores, yet?
As far as I am aware, yes. I've just taken a look at GAK and Richtone's websites and the graphics they are using are the 2015 model. The difference to the previous one is incredibly subtle, just a re-labelling of the "level" knobs.
Did anyone think the exhibitors were a bit thin on the ground? There seemed to be loads more the last time I was there.
see above....
This is a bit disappointing to hear... Not that I'd want to put a downer on anyones day it sounds like a great time was had by all. But I'm only really interested in the trade stands, not really bothered about talks / masterclasses etc.
I heard discussions around people saying "they'd left their credit cards at home on purpose...". OK, so maybe they'll buy online later from home, but its hardly surprising then that the number of trade stands has dropped... just sayin'...
Sorry to anybody I've missed or didn't meet up with.
Me... Again... I think I saw you walk past the Markbass stand at least twice... must've forgotten my deodorant, again... that or you just have an allergy to overly colourful speakers!
If I could get up there Sunday I'd bite your hand off! I live in Exeter you see.
Well you should get up there then! I can get you most of the way home, I live near Honiton

I'm on my way up to London today to setup the MSL stand if anybody needs a lift home on Sunday to the West Country I'm happy to come off anywhere on the m3/303...
Last minute additions Bootsy Collins, Marcus Miller and Stanley Clarke???
that'd be good, or Wooten or Pino?
Yeah, I was trying to workout the impedence load on the MB, but I'm pretty sure he'd have to be running it at less than 4ohms... Which of course raises questions about the longevity of his power amp...
haha! Bloody strange advert..... not sure it does MB any favours, and certainly not Suzuki.
well said Charlie ... pisses on a LOT of Vintage stuff out there costing 5 times your or mat's ones..

Yawn!

Obviously, because it's a Fender JV not a Squier.
This one is not going to lie down or go away is it! Well, mines a Squier JV. I'm proud of it and don't care who knows it, and it definitely plays better than anyone elses, because a. its mine and b. all my friends agree. It won't help to tell me anymore times that this one is better, because it isn't! So there! And if anyone argues about this anymore I am going to take my ball home....
All those gorgeous Ampeg 810s with that ugly thing stuck in the middle, madness.
Fair point, agreed give me vintage Ampeg any day (that I have a roadie who moves it for me), but I know which I'd prefer to carry down the stairs and out to the car after a late night!
Needs more cabs
If he's like most MB users, most of them won't even be plugged in, or it'd be way too loud! You wouldn't hear the bike for bass...

I am given to understand there will be a stonking Nano deal for LBGS. I've not had a chance to try it myself yet (I'm still out of action after having Carpal Tunnel release surgery in January... owch), but I'm hearing some great things about it!
I just wanted to post what I've learnt recently about saving / loading preset banks to / from SD cards on the multiamp. The ability to backup and restore all your presets is one of the major bonuses of amps like this. If my Multiamp gets run over by a truck tomorrow I can get hold of another one, load up my presets and I'm all ready to go, with zero setup time.
Very good point. Also if you tour and use provided backline (and you've been specific that you need Multiamp!), it means absolutely no guesswork to get your sounds right, wherever you are. I'm off to Denmark in a couple of months, all I'll be taking is one flightcase, with my bass, my Softstep and 2 memory cards (can't be too careful! I'll probably back them up to my OneDrive too, just in case!) with my MA patches. PS. I never gig without an SD card loaded and ready. As you said, if you tweak something and cock it up, you can get out of jail in seconds!
-
Just found out I will be able to be there after all... thought a gig would prevent it, so I'll be there as usual, if you have time come and seek me out on the MSL/MarkBass stand, it'd be good to put more names to faces. Hoping to have some interesting new toys available, and I know there are some interesting show deals on the way...!

Well you may wonder why i have posted this here, but this is a bit novel! http://youtu.be/JHExD808si4
I think it's like a lot of others, switching individual effects on and off within a preset is seamless, just like a pedal would be, but I'm not sure about switching presets while playing - I don't do it, and I think there's a tiny delay when you do? I'll check next time I'm playing if I remember.
Ditto, I tend to stick with a single amp model per song and just turn on/off effects and comps. I don't see why it shouldn't be as quick changing whole patches, but I'm not able to test for a couple of weeks, as had a Carpal Tunnel release surgery on my hand yesterday.. owwww...

Sandberg California TM5 new model PRICE DROP £1000 SOLD SOLD
MoJoKe replied to liffordmark's topic in Basses For Sale
This bass is beautiful. What does it weigh? I should mainly be playing my Lakland JO5 (I play in a 60's band and it's Jazz shape is perfect) which has a J-retro fitted and has a huge tonal range, but its just too heavy for my poor 56 yr old back! I need to go lighter with a 60's looking bass, but don't want a Fender! -
No, I'm not bloody selling it ( was that aggressive enough?) Listen to BigRedX's stuff, think that sounds quite 'up for it'..?
Haha! Only just spotted this! I'll give it a listen!
Love the look of the nano bass. If they brought out some 2x8 cabs to go with it I'd be very tempted for a rig for London transport for when i need somw more oomph than my Phil Jones double4.
They used to do a lovely little cab, I think it was 4x6. I can see this amp being hugely popular - I'm you could safely bet they'll come up with another compact cab to go with this!
-
Cough...Warwick Star Bass?
yup, good idea. are you selling yours?! can you make it sound aggressive?
-
haha! No, I did a re-think and decided I could probably manage without a spare. I am currently also re-thinking my gigging basses; the JO5 is absolutely gorgeous to play and sounds huge, but its just too damned heavy. Any thoughts? light, five strings and sixties looking....
S-Q-U-I-E-R.... Dagnabbit, if we're talking about the minutiae of this name, SPELL IT CORRECTLY! Sorry for shouting!
I Did...!!
The word inferior has been used a few times to differentiate this from the Squier JV. Important thing to establish is how does the construction of this particular model bass differ from the Squier to make it superior?
(....when referring to this Fender JV which isn't a Squier, but made in the Squier factory and apparently far superior to my own JV!) So, is this in fact a 1982 MIJ Precision? If anyone buys this down Devon/Somerset way, perhaps we could A/B them and put this argument to an end! Right, I for one will stop hijacking this poor guy's sale thread. It's almost certainly a nice bass, whatever it is or isn't called, and its saved Mattybob needing to bump it!
