1. Hi Ped, thank you, yes, did both those, but someone has already posted a "which is the right price?" comment...!! I appreciate being a field rather than just "text" it might provide useful "monetising" feedback for the site (for all good reasons!), but only if it reflects the actual sale price!
 2.
So which is the correct price, the one in the title or the one in the add. Can you adjust please Thanks
Oh, that I could! I have just posted in "site issues", I have tried changing it and it won't let me. Gremlin at work I think. (the "Price: £**** " at the top of all adverts is system generated since the new marketplace upgrade) The Price is an incredibly reasonable £1150, which is now shown in the post title!
 3. Hi, I am perfectly happy with the changes to the marketplace (though I am one of the 4%!), and this afternoon have placed my first "new" ad since the change, and subscribed to the £20 for the year. This Forum MUST be supported properly by its users. However... I placed the ad with a price of £1250 and then, having thought about it wanted to change to £1150, but whatever I do the value shown at the top of the ad cannot be changed... Any thoughts anyone? Many thanks, keep up the good work!
 4. Price adjusted at the sellers request!
 5. Here we have for sale a Rickenbacker 4003 in Fireglo, made in 2004, in its Ric case. Hi, I am selling this for the guitarist in my band, I had a good play on it last week and it is a lovely bass. He has had it from new. He says:- Its in super condition with the following notes...
A couple of small knocks to the headstock, clearly seen in the pic. A couple of marks on the bottom where it has been in & out of a stand...not nasty though. A pin prick ding by the jack socket (there when it was bought new). A very small 'tracking' mark on the back that wouldn't show up. Polish swirls & a tiny indent on the front that has to be held to the light to see. Case has some marks, visible in the pic. I have the pickup cover.
I say:- He has a great collection of guitars, all kept in as close to showroom condition as can be. In my opinion, apart from the issues above I would say it looks barely played. £1150 to include UK shipping/delivery, the bass is in Teignmouth, or Taunton if anyone would like to see it in the flesh! Sale only, no trades on this one! 6. Not much Synth love at the moment? let me know your thoughts...
 7.
Me too, I'm on the 6.18 am from Port Talbot into Paddington :-0
5.28 from Taunton... aarrgh! Heyho, its a working weekend for me so got to be there well before the off!
 8.
Bear in mind that some tube lines are closed next weekend. I cant rememember which ones, although someone did post a link here somewhere.
Looks like the Picadilly line is clear of closures so the "Hounslow West" option is a good one for people coming from the South West as its a single change at Earls Court. I'm getting the train up very early on Saturday, so hoping the closures don't effect the anticlockwise Circle line between Paddington and High Street Kensington!
 9.
Whats the parking like around the venue these days? Just wondering whether public transport would be preferable? Or cheaper!
There's a multi-story behind the conference centre, I parked there last time I went (2011). I've just checked on-line, and the cost is £25 for a day if you pre-book.. jeez... I regularly work in London and always come in from the M4, and park at Hounslow West tube station, which costs about £5 for the day, then get the tube in on a 1 day travel card for about £8
 10. All sold, thanks guys!! I bought my GR-30 very recently for a project which didn't work out. I managed to get it fairly cheaply so am happy to part with it for what I paid. It's in really good condition, fully working, and came as a complete flightcased (well, one of those Maplin aluminium jobbies) package, including the power supply, 13 pin cable and a GK-3 guitar pickup. [s]£160 posted in the UK.[/s] I also bought a brand new GK-3b pickup from ChummyMusical on Ebay, which is complete, except I used 6 or so (of the dozen or so) double sided sticky pads to attach it to one of my basses. I am happy to sell and post this separately for [s]£100, or if bought with the GR-30, £90.[/s] £220 (plus Carriage) for the lot... The GR-30 works very well with guitar (I put the pickup on my strat with double sided tape), it needed very little setting up and tracks perfectly. I didn't try the bass out until after the project fizzled, so haven't really had time to set it up to get the best from it. It is really easy to fit, but I have been told by several that the GK-3b takes a bit of setting up irrespective of the synth module! The GR-30 itself has a huge range of very useable sounds (I was told it is the same as a 1080 module), including keys, brass, strings (which is why I bought it!), and the usual array of nutty synth sounds, which can be played polyphonically, overlaid and assigned to different strings, and midi'd up to another sound module or your home studio. you can also blend natural guitar/bass and synth sounds. I will stick up some pics of the actual pedal as soon as I can, but it looks like this:- http://www.suonoelet...oland_gr-30.jpg
 11.
This might be a bit of a stupid question, but it's for people who have been to these kind of thing before. Do the companies there tend to show their lower-than-top range of basses as well as high end?
In my previous experience many exhibitors cater for a very wide range of budget, so no worries, lots to see and play with!
 12. Great to see so many are going! I will be there both days, working with MarkBass, so looking forward to putting names/faces to BC'ers, as I don't get up to meet all you big city folk too often! In the meantime I am officially homeless! We sold and moved out of our house yesterday and don't get to move in to the new place until 18th Feb, so we're off on holiday to get some winter sun. I'll be working on being easy to spot on the day, balding git with a Markbass Lanyard hopefully sporting a healthy tan!
 13. No worries! shame I won't get to meet you there. However, Dave Vader and Marvin are up for a SW beer/bash somewhere/sometime, so would be good to meet! I'm moving house on Thursday, the off on holiday, but would be happy to organise when I return!
 14.
Is that as in..left the band? Shame if so
Yes, big shame. I think if this were facebook, one might have to resort to "Its complicated". I've been a pro and semi pro player for 30 years on and off (mostly "on" actually!), so have had some "interesting" experiences, but I'm not going to use this thread to say anything negative...
 15. A great shame, yes. Lots of hard work, expenditure and commitment wasted sadly. Heyho, onwards and upwards...
 16. To those kind fellows who said such nice things and said they would like to come to the next gig in Bideford, I won't be there... It didn't work out for us...
 17. I'm utterly amazed this didn't leave the building immediately!! I use one of these as my main gigging "take anywhere, do anything bass", in studio and on stage, without buying something you'd be too scared to take out of the house to gig, they are the most versatile bass you could ever wish for. The pickup combination and preamp provides anything from dark bassy heavy rock, mellow jazz, sharp attacking slap and the funkiest funk you could wish for, from precision to jazz to Musicman (yeah, I know a bunch of 'ray fans will be up in arms at that, but they are simply jealous IMHO, as they cannot do anything other than 'ray sounds!!!) I use exclusively Elixir medium gauge extra longs, and the B string rings out, has soooo much sustain and balances so well with the rest. See its fretless pair in my avatar... This is a great bass and a very reasonable price... Someone buy this now!
 18.
Mojoke, my mate Steve saw you guys in Taunton on Friday, and said you were great. I suspect he would have harangued you afterwards as well, sorry about that. he does these things.
I had a bit of a duffer that night (my fretted 55-02 played up... jack socket/battery issue... threw me a bit!) to be honest, so glad we still made a good impression in spite!! We had a few haranguers(?) but all good fun!! Be great to meet at the Palladium!
