Send me some pictures along, i am a sucker for a Lakland as Karl can vouch for. -
James is absolutely amazing to deal with, clear &
Good communication throughout and true to his word.
The Jazz Bass is stunning and I sincerely hope he enjoys the Sterling.
Deal with complete confidence. -
thanks for the kind words Karl! Bump it back to the top

Hi All.
I'm really only looking for a trade on this beauty as I've got a Jazz Bass on the way in & her indoors won't let me buy any more basses/acoustic guitars I have to do it all on a one in one out basis. So as you may guess I am leaning towards a trade however I am open to a straight cash sale.
Anyway this is MIM Geddy Lee, the build on this is superb and it's a fantastic player. Condition wise it's mint, it's not been gigged and only used at a handful of rehearsals. I have removed the stock white pick guard with a cream pearlescent guard and I have upgraded the stock pickups to Fender Noiseless N3 pickups, this really adds a shed load more bite and really gives this bass more dynamic range. I have kept hold of the stock stuff and I have all tags etc.
Trade wise I have a few things in mind: Fender Precision Bass (must have a maple fingerboard) would like a natural bodied 70's style one however I won't hold my breath haha, Lakland Bob Glaub (again maple board) or 44-02 (maple board) Yamaha BB1024x (caramel or white), Fender VI (not squire model unless significant cash coming my way), Fender Starcaster Bass (black or natural) at a push I may consider a Stingray (again maple board). I have a small amount of cash I can send your way for right bass/trade.
Drop me a line if you're interested & if you have any of the above.
Regards

Just to back up Karl on this one Marc, it looks very neat and you wouldn't notice they were stuck on, they don't peel either.

Please do :-)

I am also in Wrexham buddy and I have a Geddy Lee jazz if you want to try that?! It's light in comparison to my P-Bass and it may give you a potential idea of what you're looking for?!

Temptation... Must resist temptation....

Oooooosh you've really got me thinking now. I have a Geddy Lee with N3 noiseless pickups and I have SBMM SB14 (the Sterling model) which has the thinner jazz neck and which I have just had a Seymour Duncan SMB-4a installed along with a John East mM-3 band Pre-Amp.... Sounds like a stingray and then some. Decisions decisions decisions.

Just following up on this do you have anything in mind trade wise? Before I offer up something from the herd...

If I had the pennies I'd have your arm off, the burgundy mist is an awesome finish!

Hi!
Was wondering if anywhere in the UK does them or does anyone make them in the UK?! I've found an American website but I don't really want to pay £55 for a pickguard!
Any help will be gratefully received.
Thanks

Stupid question... Are these active?!
-
Is he on here or do you mean via his website?!
-
Getting an east without question now... Still humming and hahing over pickups but Nordstrand seems to be the way forward... Thanks for the advice fellas really appreciated!
-
So outlay wise what am I looking to spend on a nordstrand etc?!
-
Ok I've bought a Sterling SB14 the Sterling
Model. Basically I get that the electronics and hardware won't be of US standard but I was toying with the Idea of upgrading preamp and pickup (bartolini, bass lines etc) just to get the most as possible out of the bass. As it's a sterling format rather than stingray I would be seeking out recommendations to make it a real MM killer on a budget basically -
I am curious... I know there is a difference but if someone could explain the difference that'd be magic!
If then anyone could recommend any upgrades suitable for a sterling such as preamp or pickup mods that would also be mega appreciated!
Thanks -
I would say not.

Withdrawn - I appear to playing solely fretless these days so I am having dot markers put where they 'should be' on a fretless and keeping this.

Good evening all!
I have a Nordstrand NP4 P pickup for sale, I was going to put it in my US P Bass however I have an S1 switching model and unfortunately this pickup isn't going to work with this setup... So I must part with it! It's in stunning condition, sadly my wonderful puppy, Winston, has destroyed the box but I will include the remnants, the pickup however was not touched, so it's in a Seymour Duncan plastic case for safe transport... with that in consideration I would like £50 plus postage.
2nd up I have a Brushed Gold '62 Jazz Bass pickguard, plastic not anodised aluminium, it's still in its packaging, unopened and has winged its way all the way from America, in my opinion this would look great on a black or candy apple red jazz, it has 13 holes and holes for bridge covers and thumb rest. I have subsequently decided not to fit it to my burgundy mist jazz. I would like £15 plus postage for this please.
Fender 2003 US P Bass bridge, it's a stringthru bridge and has the triple groove thang going on. It's in superb condition, reason for selling I managed to get my hands on a Badass III and subsequently this won't be needed. I would like £20 for this please.
Any questions please ask. Pictures to follow.
Thanks
Tim
