Good Day All. So I'm putting up my 14 year old Stingray, sublime player, sounds awesome and is a real head turner. This started life as a SR4 black, matching headstock and black guard... However I've changed over a few things to get the absolute most out of this bass... I've replaced the stock preamp (this will be supplied) with a John East MMSR 3 band which just retrofits in, I won't bore you all with the details of what this does as I'm sure you all know what it does. I've put a Seymour Duncan SMB4D, original will be supplied, this really opens up the tone and works seamlessly with the east preamp and replaced the stock guard out with a grey pearloid guard, simply because it looks funkier. I've also swapped the tuner for a hipshot bass X-tender again for the simplicity of providing versatility. Now... If you're looking for an absolute pristine, unmarked bass... Then stop reading now. However if you're looking for a well loved, solid, awesome playing & sounding bass then this could well be the one for you, and at a considerable snip in comparison to the new list price and certainly superior in quality to it's SBMM brothers, I have tried my level best to get photos in with any dings, scuffs, chips or the like in. I've also take a sot of the heal where the paint has come away, this was like this when I got the bass but I've ensured that it can't go any further. It doesn't effect playability at all. Currently set up with La Bella Deep Talkin' bass strings, Weighs circa 4kgs or 8.8lbs (can be more accurate of required) in imperial. So not massive heavy, but not stupidly featherweight but sits nicely and is really well balanced IMHO. The nut width is 42.5mm. Comes with a a hard case which keeps the bass as it should. So... The nitty gritty... I am truly loathed to sell this but, something has come up that I simply cannot refuse and something of course has to give. So taking into account overall condition but also significant upgrades (east cost over £150 on it's own) I would like £600 shipped & insured or alternatively you can come to Chez McHale have a coffee and be shouted at repeatedly by my Bedlington Terrier, Winston, for the princely sum of £575 Any questions please ask away. Regards Tim

Hi All. So I'm putting up my Dee Dee Ramone P Bass, sublime player, sounds awesome and is a real looker. The only change I have made to the bass is change the pickguard from the black one supplied (still have this & will be included) to a dark Tortoiseshell. So it almost has a Colin Greenwood from Radiohead vibe. Now if you're looking for an absolute pristine, unmarked bass... This is it! I have tried my level best to get photos in with any dings, scuffs or the like in and I simply cannot find one. Currently set up with D'addario 45 to 105 strings. Weighs circa 4kgs or 9lbs (can be more accurate if required) in imperial. So not massively heavy, but not stupidly featherweight, I think it sits nicely on the shoulders and is really well balanced IMHO. The nut width is 41.3mm. Comes with a Fender Gigbag, which keeps the bass as it should & fender branded strap. For a cash/bank transfer/PayPal. I will do £450 shipped & insured or alternatively you can come to Chez McHale have a coffee/tea/beer and be shouted at repeatedly by my Bedlington Terrier, Winston, for the princely sum of £420. Any questions please ask away. Regards Tim

Hello All So I'm putting up my Markbass Standard 151HF bass cab, sounds awesome and is a real head turner. This is now a discontinued model and all the specs can be found here: http://www.markbass.it/product_detail.php?id=32&markbass=Discontinued Now... If you're looking for an absolute pristine, ungigged bass cab... Then stop reading now. However if you're looking for an excellent condition, solid, awesome sounding bass cab then this could well be the one for you and at a considerable snip in comparison to it's recent far eastern relatives. I have tried my level best to get a selection of photos to show scuffs on the plastic corners or the like. But there's not really a great deal to see no rips or tears in the carpet covering. Weighs circa 30kgs or 65lbs (can be more accurate if required) in imperial. So not massive heavy, but not stupidly featherweight and is really well balanced IMHO. So... The nitty gritty... I am not in a rush to sell it, however trades for another Markbass Standard 102HF/104HF would be welcome. Collection from Chez McHale preferred, where you are welcome to stop have a coffee/tea/juice and be shouted at repeatedly by my Bedlington Terrier, Winston, for the princely sum of £325 ovno, alternatively I am happy to deliver within a reasonable distance. I am also happy to courier, as I have plenty of packaging for it, but it will be at buyers expense and arrangement. Any questions please ask away. Regards Tim

Hi all and welcome to my most excellent Ampeg SVT 2 Pro all valve bass amplifier - if you're looking at this you no doubt know how good these amps are - and this is an absolute belter! An increasingly rare made in USA version in amazing condition. This amp was bought circa 6 months ago and this is the bass amp I've desired for an absolute eternity (particularly this being the USA version)! This has a great mid range character which I''ve found you can only really get from valves, along with plenty of low end grunt and definition! The EQ makes it a really versatile amp and of course it comes with all the bells & whistles which make this a sublime amplifier. It has been re-valved in the last 12 months so still has plenty of life in them. The newer and reportedly lower quality SVT 2 pros sell new for over £1600 - save yourself some cash and get a bargain here - I really don't want to sell this one, but I am back out gigging every weekend now and as much as I love this and that thundering tone... The weight is going to be too much with my already quite fragile back. It will come in a Flightcase with the Korg Pitchblack Rack Tuner also in excellent condition. Cash on collection preferred from Saltney, Flintshire, however, it can be packaged for pick up by a courier which would need to be arranged & it will need to be fully insured. Of course I am happy to travel to deliver within reasonable distance by negotiation again. Trades wise... Well weight would be a key factor of course however... I would take an Ampeg SVT 4 pro, Markbass, Aguilar etc in either full exchange/part exchange. I haven't really got any funds to add to a trade but please hit me up. Thanks Tim

Basschat legend and around pleasant guy to deal with. Ash bought my p bass off me, took a lovely trip up to Lancaster, played some of the finest basses, took his Markbass recommendation on board (thanks for that) and resisted temptation of purchasing one of those that shall not be named from him. Lovely friendly mog too. Everyone can deal with the utmost confidence.

Sold my Ampeg cab to Rich, always an absolute pleasure to deal with. Top guy, top coffee and top convo.

Gary is an absolute legend and got me my most excellent Markbass cab to me in time for my New Years gig, can't say fairer than that. Everyone can deal with the utmost confidence.

Hi guys! I'm in the market for some Markbass cabs, but with so many different models out there (NY, CMD, Ninja, Traveller, Standard) I am left somewhat confused. Ideally I am after a 2 X 10 & 1 X 15, I'd like the models to match, I am running an Ampeg SVT 2 Pro into them and want lots of punch but warmth also. Can anybody help explain and point me in the right direction so I can get the best possible combo of cabs to get the right sound. Regards Tim

Good evening All. So I'm putting up my 25 year old P Bass, sublime player, sounds awesome and is a real head turner. This started life as a PB57 black & white guard... However I've changed over a few things to get the absolute most out of this bass... It's had a Tusq nut put in and had a proper shim to get optimal action. I've replaced the stock bridge (this will be supplied) with a Gotoh 201b which just retrofits on. I've put the bridge, pickup and thumb rest on and replaced the stock white guard out with a 3 ply black white black guard, I specifically got a 50's one so it just retrofits without any additional drilling. Now... If you're looking for an absolute pristine, unmarked bass... Then stop reading now. However if you're looking for a great condition (for it's age anyway), solid, awesome playing & sounding bass then this could well be the one for you, and at a considerable snip in comparison to it's Mexican road worn relatives, I have tried my level best to get photos in with any dings, scuffs or the like in. Currently set up with D'addario Chromes. Weighs circa 4kgs or 8.8lbs (can be more accurate of required) in imperial. So not massive heavy, but not stupidly featherweight but sits nicely and is really well balanced IMHO. Comes with a a hard case which keeps the bass as it should. So... The nitty gritty... I am not in a rush to sell it, however trades for a decent lightweight 2 X 12/4 X 10 cab (Aguilar, EBS, Ampeg PN series, Markbass etc). So trade value of £500 for those. For a cash/bank transfer/PayPal etc. I will do £425 shipped & insured or alternatively you can come to Chez McHale have a coffee and be shouted at repeatedly by my Bedlington Terrier, Winston, for the princely sum of £400. Any questions please ask away. Regards Tim
