Right, I can’t believe I’m putting this up here and trust me, it is very tentative. I bought this bass 12 months ago, and obviously, it has never been gigged or rehearsed. It is showroom condition. I had a custom pick guard made, and replaced the bridge for the way superior Babicz bridge. The frets were dressed by a top notch and trusted luthier. It plays like an absolute dream, and sounds simply amazing. The white sparkle finish is to die for. Why sell it then? Simple. I’ve fallen in love with another brand, and I simply want to own another one. It comes with the certificate, case candy, amazing Fender hard case, plus original bridge, and I’ll put the original pick guard back on it. This is in immaculate condition, and with a perfect setup. It currently has 45, 65, 85, 105 Dunlop Stainless Steel strings. It has a straight neck, fairly low action, and a beautiful compound radius neck. Happy to replace with a brand new set if this is your gauge. If not, I’ll leave the 4 month set on so you can replace with strings you prefer. Any questions, please feel free to drop me a line. Happy to post, but at the buyers cost, and of course fully insured. It will come fully packed in the original Fender box it came to me in. If you live locally to Cardiff / Penarth, I’m happy for you to collect following strict socially distanced rules. No trades please, and no silly offers, please. These are £1799.00 new, and this has had a tonne of work done on it to make it just right.

They are trading, I’ve been buying bits and bobs off them for the past couple of months. Always responding as well. I know how busy they are with the Brexit stuff as well.

How can two versions of the same bass be *that* different?

So pleased, mate. It has gone to the right person, and home. Hope you are keeping safe ☺️ -

I had 2 Vigier Excess 5, and still have one, but though exactly the same spec, I just couldn’t bond with the later version. It went in the end to a good home as I couldn’t justify it just sat there. -

I’ve just seen the green one. Interesting 🥴😂

Yeah, sorry, I was thinking of something else. Obviously, I’d seen this, hence my post 🥴

My Vigier is the same. Either that or stack them knobs.

Do you have a link for that, please?

I’ll be honest, I haven’t played one but I did hear the same thing as you just said about the feel of the necks, from a friend who had played one. It stopped me dropping the money on one. When I heard about the Charvel basses I did get a little excited as I know the guitars in this range, are amazing. Unfortunately, the colours aren’t to my taste, and I’d prefer a 21 fret, which as you say, just makes more sense. A pick guard would have been nice, as well. The Charvel necks do look lovely though.

They look OK, but I think, and it is just my opinion now I’ve seen the specs of both, the Jackson CBXM IV is a better spec’d, and better looking bass.

Yeah, I agree. The matt finish is probably my 1st choice, though if they brought out the purple in a matt finish with black hardware, I’d be in real trouble 😂

Either one of these will do for me ☺️
