  1. That’s right, they have 2 volume controls. I get the idea behind it, but seems a little strange. Agree though, lovely looking things.
  2. That looks so lovely. I had a ‘64 refin that I sold on. I have concluded that I definitely want a P/J config. I also want a modern take on the classic. Thanks so much for your help.
  3. I really do love the look of the SB-2, Ped. Finding a new US is impossible over here. I have decided that I definitely want a PJ configuration. That helps. I did look at your bass, and it’s amazing. Thanks for your input.
  4. Possible trade options added. It is in “out of the factory” condition. Not a single mark in this bass. Grab a real bargain ✌🏼
  5. Definitely 4 of us, and more to follow I should imagine.......
  6. Thank you so much. Very good to know. Appreciated 🙏🏻
  7. Been there many times, and yes it is 😉 Mark and his lovely crew have taken a lot of my money over the years 😂
  8. I did notice that the compound radius, and the truss rod adjustment had changed on the Ultra’s. Also, I believe, on the Ultra, the nut is 1mm smaller than the Elite. I have a friend with an Elite, so shall approach him to see if he wouldn’t mind me having a play. Thanks for you input, much appreciated 🙏🏻
  9. Thank you, Paul. There are some really lovely combinations to be achieved via Maruszczyk. I’ve been on their configurator a lot lately 😂
  10. Thank you so much. That is precisely the kind of info I am after. Brilliant. I have been looking around a lot, and the US G&L SB-2 as well as the Shuker P/J’s have also got me interested. Thanks again 🙏🏻
  11. It’s my birthday today, and feeling very chilled which has led me to now opening this up to offers. Try me with a figure, you may be surprised, as I may be drunk 🥴 😂 Cheers ☺️
  12. Thank you. Which one did you buy? How is the neck?
  13. A lovely bass, and thanks but I’m a maple board, and solid colour type of guy. GLWTS ⭐️
  14. Here’s another one I really love the look of. So many options 😬
  15. Thank you. I will get to try a Fender later this week, not like the one in the pic, but still an Ultra. That should help things a little. I will also try and get to BD, and try the “M” bass. It is very close to call. All input is appreciated ⭐️
  16. Thanks for your insight. May I ask what you think the edge of the “M” was, for you, over the Fender?
  17. I may have to. Not exactly local, but a great idea. Thanks ⭐️
  18. Seeking the advice, knowledge and expertise from the BC community, please. It’s a significant birthday soon and therefore, I’m looking but something to mark it. I’m thinking of going back to 4 string bass, and if I do, I definitely want to go back to my first “love”,the Precision. The new Fender Ultra looks amazing, and having done some research, the Maruszczyk basses have been getting some amazing feedback. I’ve configured the “M” to what I feel is my perfect spec, but I’ve never played one. I can go and try the Fenders, any time. I’m worried that if I buy the “M”, what happens if I don’t like it. Has anyone done an A/B test between these 2 basses? If so, what are your thoughts. The basses I have dejected are exactly the same price. Too close to call. Any help, insights etc would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance ☺️
  19. Thank you for the messages but just to reiterate, I am not looking for trades. I am only after a straight sale please. Thanks again. Take care. Cheers ⭐️
  20. This is a very hard decision for me as I love my Vigier basses so much, but I have decided to move back to 4 string bass for the foreseeable future. I have enjoyed my forays into the world of 6 & 5 string bass, but my writing has changed a lot and I need a new sound/approach/challenge. I will be keeping my other Excess 5 just for the studio and that low B, just in case I need it later down the line but it does mean, that I don't need two of them. So with that in mind, here is what I am selling - A brand new, in perfect condition, and I mean perfect condition, as there are no scratches, surface scratches, dings, dents etc Vigier Excess 5 bass. It has never been gigged and only used in the house. It was ordered directly from Vigier back in 2018 and arrived with me last July (2019) as a back up to my other Vigier. Who was I kidding? The things are so flipping stable, you don't need a back up with these. Anyway, I ordered it in a custom "purple", and it is stunning. It comes with the official Vigier Hiscox case. The neck on these basses are to die for, just so beautifully crafted in every way. The sounds available to dial in are limitless, a very versatile pre-amp (18v). It was fitted from the start with Dunlop Stainless Steel Superbrights (40-120). They don't make many of these basses, and especially not in this colour. If you want something stable, powerful, unique and something that will last you forever, this is your baby. They cost £3200.00 (RRP), so grab a beautiful, handmade, rare and beautiful bass while you can. The bass is located in South Wales. I'd prefer collection, but happy to post if it will help the buyer. I have the box it was sent in. Any questions, please feel free to PM me and I will do all I can to help. Possible trades and no sunburst’s please - US Fender Elite Precision with maple board plus cash my way. Yamaha BB3000a plus cash my way. Yamaha 2025x plus a little cash my way. 21. That is stunning! One day I will have one of these. Wanted one for so long. GLWTS.
  22. I know it’s not that because their symptoms were very different, and I have sought medical advice too. My post was go find out if anyone else has gone through this, how did it happen, how did they deal with it, and did they have to make adjustments when getting back to playing? I am wishing you the very best with your surgery. Please keep me/us posted 🤞
  23. Hi @hiram.k.hackenbacker, thanks for replying. It is definitely not trigger finger or, Viking’s finger. I have had friends who have had both, and spoke to them last week. Very sorry to hear that that is what you had/have. How is it now you’ve had the final surgery?
  24. Hey @mangotango, sorry to hear you are dealing with this. On my side, with rest (5 days so far) the pain is definitely easing but I am worried of a reoccurrence once I’m able to start playing again. I currently have the ring finger strapped to my middle finger, and at night I take that strapping off. The pain is definitely not there in the morning, but as I said, really worried about this happening again. Have you strapped your hand up? Have you looked at the a wrist support? I think Steve Morse has an issue as he has his right hand strapped when playing. I really hope it sorts itself out soon. It is worrying, isn’t it, and I’ll be interested to see what others say in response to both our posts. Thanks for the input, and please, keep me posted. Take care ⭐️🤞
