  1. You should go and try one. I've been playing it today and seriously, it's a corker. I think this is a keeper. Perfect for what I need it for. Genuinely a lovely bass
  2. I went through a huge phase of buying Yamaha TRB6 basses and loved them all but I had one, a TRB6p that was one of the nicest basses I have ever owned. I sold all my other TRB6s but kept that one until I had GAS for a Dingwall AB1 6 string. I very stupidly sold the TRB6p to fund the Dingwall. Gutted! It was a bass of beauty and of special significance plus, it was the one I used at High Voltage in 2010 and every time I see the video, I wish I had kept it. One day I hope that I'll get it back. In the mean time, I'm a converted Vigier user and I know this is never leaving me. GAS sucks sometimes....... PS Sorry for the pic of me but, it shows the bass in all its glory at High Voltage.
  3. I took delivery of my Squier Dimension Dlx V 2 days ago. My mate has the full US spec Dlx V and I fell in love with it so when these came up, it was a no brainier as I only want it as a back up / travel bass. The bass out of the box wasn't badly setup but, it's not how I have my basses setup, obviously. It looks wonderful, feels wonderful and built well and, on first testing, the pickup sounds great. I'll wait to give a more in depth report once it has been set up the way I like it and played properly through my rig and, next to my mates US Dlx V. So far though, it's ace and a much nicer weight and feel to the Squier VM Jazz V I had and, that was lovely. Definitely punching above it's weight for £271 via Thomann.
  4. That's a real beaut. Nice one. Enjoy
  5. Chris, now that is great. Please share what you think and trust me, you have a real gem there PS What band are you in? I'd love t come and check you guys out as you are in the locality
  6. Scott, good on ya. The Thumb is a great bass. I had 2 6 strings once....... Man I'm a bass whore. Enjoy and pics when it arrives please
  7. This was my bass initially. An absolutely stunning bit of kit. If I could've kept it, i would've but Vigier kept calling me. Someone is going to have many happy years playing this
  8. I'll have 3rds please.......
  9. I can see. If I could justify it, I would. I've had 2 Bongo basses, a 6 and 5 and loved them both. No idea why I shifted them on but I will have one again one day. GLWTS, I hope they shift quickly and we never have to discuss this again ha ha ha ha
  10. Phew! I keep coming back to that Bongo and I though I want it, I don't need it. I'll be glad for you and me when this thread is closed

  15. How much are you looking for the Badass bridge please?
  16. Thank you so much, that is greatly appreciated and just what I needed to hear. I Have kept to the gauge on the bass for now but, it's good to know I can change up with the minimal amount of fuss. Loving this bass so much
  17. I bought a Thomann gig bag from Pete. Such an easy transaction and very nice gentleman indeed. I would happily deal with Pete again. Cheers
  18. Hi, I'm interested in buying one of the Thomann bags. I've seen them on the site but, do you have a picture of the internal part of the case please? I'm based in Cardiff so easy to meet as well. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Matt
  19. Hi gang, I've just bought a second hand Squier VM Jazz bass 5. I want to change the bridge for a higher mass bridge but I have no idea what to get. The bridge on it currently, is a 6 hole model but most of the bridges I have been looking at are mainly 5. Any advice as to whether the 5 hole bridges are OK for this bass or, do you know of any 6 hole replacement bridges. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Matt
  20. No worries, I thought I would have been too late. Thanks for letting me know
