1. Absolutely lol
2. Indeed, that's what I meant. They actually had 1000k pots in and I had them changed to better quality 500k pots. It was way too bright, for me and lost some of that P-Bass'ness lol Sounds so much better now IMHO
3. Thank you for your post. It really is light and easy to play. I've never gigged it but have used it in a full 4 hour rehearsal and no issues on the back or shoulder or neck - perfectly balanced. This is a 34" scale and the "B" is still awesome sounding
4. They are seriously ace but do need to be upgraded IMHO. The pots were a bit too hot and the hardware average but, the construction is ace and the stability wonderful. Once upgraded, this is a great sounding, very playable, light weight, modern take on a classic.
5. Hey, that's life but a lovely choice with the Lakland purchase. Great basses. Have many happy years playing it and cheers
6. Hello. I'm selling my upgraded MTD CRB 5 bass and gig bag. It's absolutely lovely and a great, new interpretation of a P-Bass. It has an asymmetric neck and Buzz Feiten Tuning and weighs 3.5kg. I've upgraded the machine heads with Hipshot ultralight tuners and the bridge with a Hipshot "A" style aluminium bridge. The pots and input jack have all been upgraded and new knobs added as well. It comes with a new set of D'Addario Pro Steels plus strap locks, the original bridge and machines heads and the lovely MTD gig bag. New, at Bass Direct, the combined price of the bass, not including the upgrades I have done, and gig bag is £570. I've put £200 of new, high quality hardware on this bass. The only reason for selling is I have the ultimate P-Bass with my Mike Lull PJ5 and this just isn't getting used. It's in mint / new condition. I'm based in the Cardiff area and am looking for £400 for this and no trades please. If you're looking for a quality 5 string bass that is light, plays like a dream, sounds ace but retains some classic approaches to bass then, this is for you. Cheers for reading. Matt PS I forgot to mention postage etc. I am prepared to deliver but at the buyers expense or / and I'm prepared to travel in a 50 mile radius of Cardiff to meet / deliver
7. Wise decision. A beautiful bass
8. I'm still hoping to get the cash so fingers crossed but if it goes, it goes. I'll keep on wanting
9. No probs and understand. Had to ask lol Good luck with the sale.
10. Are you selling the John Myung bass by any chance? PS These TRBs are bloody lovely. I've had a few but no idea why I got rid of them
11. Can't believe this is still here.
12. Love these basses. Used to have one but sold it and wish I hadn't. If I had the money, I'd be biting your hand off right now. Have a free bump and good luck with the sale

sold

That is just bloody gorgeous. Why oh why did you have to show us that. Good luck with the sale and sorry for hijacking the thread but had to show my admiration
14. I would love to have this. Had quite a few 6 string versions and wish I hadn't moved them on. Are you looking for any trades or just a straight cash sale? If you are looking at trades, what are you after? Can't see this hanging around for long and good luck. A beautiful bass
15. I bought these pickups 2 weeks ago and realised as soon as they arrived they were not going to align with the strings. The hole on my MTD CRB5 is not a standard "Precision" placement so the pickups would be slightly off centre with the strings. I have a set of these on my Mike Lull PJ5 and they are simply the best passive pickups I have EVER heard. Gutted I can't use them, it would've have been nice lol Anyway, these are fully boxed as you can see, never been placed in a bass. These sell for £120.00 and I'll let them go for £100.00 inc P&P within the UK. The best 5 string, P bass, passive pickups in my honest opinion. Thanks for reading and take care. Cheers, Matt PS I am also selling 5 MTD tuners and 19mm bridge for a mere £40.00. Here is the link - http://basschat.co.u...release-bridge/
16. I bought an MTD CRB5 bass and upgraded the bridge and tuners. Nothing wrong with the stock ones that arrived with the bass at all, I just prefer the Hipshot stuff I'm not looking for much for these parts. The tuners are 4 on top and 1 below. They are in perfect condition. The bridge is from the same bass and is designed for 19mm string spacing. I can sell as a complete package or separate if needed. If you do want to buy separately, I'll let the bridge go for £20 and the tuners for £20. All 3 options include P&P within the UK. Thanks for reading. Cheers, Matt
17. Hi, what are the internal dimensions please? Also, can I see a better picture of the internal part of this case. I have a Mike Lull PJ5 and want to see if my bass will fit in your case. Is yours designed specifically for a Jazz bass? Thanks in advance.
