Hi there, I'm selling my ever trusty Roland PK5 MIDI Pedals. They have been with me a couple of years now and had a full service a week ago with everything working just perfectly. They have a few touring scars but nothing that affects their use. I don't have the box or the manual as they were lost tour - somehow....... They also don't come with the original power supply either but you can get those on ebay for as little as £6.00. They are quite heavy so collection would be preferable but if you want them delivered, that can be arranged at your cost. I am looking for £200.00 and no trades please. They have served me well but I'm just not using them anymore and the money will be going towards some new studio gear. Thanks for reading and if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch and I'll do all I can to help. Take care. Cheers, Matt

I bought this bass just before the New Year. At the time I was looking for an active 5 string, 24 fret bass and this fitted the bill perfectly. I have had the bass professionally set up as it needed it. The electronics have been checked, the neck cleaned and frets polished plus a brand new set of D'Addario ProSteel EPS 1705 strings put on. It is in fantastic condition and the action is just perfect, not too low and not too high. The bass is literally mind blowingly amazing with the preamp (it has a replacement Status Hyperactive pickup added) on board and so versatile. Plus it comes with the original Status gig bag too. Here's a quick break down of the tech aspect of the bass for you - Status Shark 5 in black Made in England Chrome hardware Seymour Duncan STC-3M3 preamp 24 fret 34" scale length 18mm string spacing 5kg Original gig bag So, why am I selling? Easy, I love / prefer a 21 / 22 fret Precision style, passive bass with 19mm string spacing. It's that simple. I have sat with with the Shark and played it thoroughly but I just keep going back to my Mike Lull PJ5 all the time as I feel far more at home with it. I don't want this Status just sitting around doing nothing so I think it's best to find it a new home immediately. I paid £375.00 for this and spent £50.00 on a set up and £20.00 on a new set of strings. I would therefore, ideally, like to recoup my money so I'm selling it for the original £375.00 plus P&P and I'll take the hit on the setup costs and strings as it would have to be done regardless. Also, if you have a P-style 21 / 22 fret, 5 string bass with 19mm string spacing that you may want to trade with me, then get in touch. If someone wants this and doesn't want it delivered, then I am prepared to meet in a 50 mile radius of Cardiff and of course, you are more than welcome to try the bass at a time that is convenient for us both to meet. Well, I think that is it for now. If you have any questions, just get in touch and I'll be happy to help in any way I can. Thanks for reading and take care. Pictures attached. For years the Basslines Custom Shop® has been installing preamps in Music Man® basses. Over time the design was perfected and is now available to everyone. The lows are deep, clear, and tight. The mids range from ultra smooth to punchy and all points in between. The treble control can produce a very wide and useable response that is brilliant but not brittle. Pulling up on the volume knob engages the Slap Switch®, a special EQ contour made for slap playing. All of this is available in a quiet on board package.

Are you interested in any trades at all? I would really love this bass but understand if you just want to sell. I have an amazing Status Shark 5 string bass fitted with a Seymour Duncun pre-amp. It's immaculate and the only reason I want to move it on is I prefer 19mm spacing and 21 or 22 fret basses. Let me know but no worries if you're not interested -

Bought a modded Status Shark 5 from Tony just before the New Year. He travelled quiet a distance to do the deal, which was greatly appreciated. A lovely guy, great to talk to and the bass was exactly what I was looking for. Now had it set up to my taste and it is even better. Deal with Tony with complete and utter confidence - a top bloke. Thanks Tony and hope you find that TRB soon matey

Wow! Thanks so much, that is just awesome information and allows me to go in fully armed and ready to make an informed decision. I really, really appreciate all your help and bassman34, I was looking at the Sterling range as well plus the old Sub basses - thanks for that info, appreciated. I will let you know how my search goes. Take care guys, you are brilliant

Hi StingrayPete1977 and Musicman20. Thank you so much for that comprehensive breakdown, I really do appreciate it. I am looking for more of that attack / bite and it seems that the Sterling may be the way to go therefore. The string spacing is quite important to me and 17.5mm is the minimum I would use so, all good there. I think the obvious thing to do is go and try some but finding them around Cardiff is harder than you think. I've seen so many great examples here on BC and other sites. Is there a particular era of MM to avoid and of course, one era that is better in your opinion. Thanks again, a huge help

I am thinking of buying a Musicman 5 string bass but I'm not sure what the difference is between the Sterling and the Stingray. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? Are they like the Precision and Jazz basses of the Fender world? Any help would be appreciated please? In your opinion, which is the better bass all round? Cheers
