1. Love this record. gotta love the very funky rhythm guitar at 1.55
2. I think this whole album, is a masterpiece of early UK soul music. Every track on it is great. They don't make em like this any more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG07WSu7Q9w This is a very special song for me and I'm sure many others.
3. These are awsome interfaces. A bargain. I've got the non DSP and the preamps sound amazing.
4. Yeah sure Granger. My trade options are limited somewhat. But there all quite common basses, it's not like I'm asking for 1 bass thats rare. I just know what I want and like. I'm in no rush.😊
5. Anyone use this DAW.? I got it for free and just starting to get my head around it. Seems it's limited,(as it would be) especially in the drum loops. Only seems to have house/dance drum loops.? Does anyone else use it.?
6. Im not sure. I just know he is superb. Great soul funk, magnificent harmonies.
7.
Just stumbled across this today. Same two chords throughout. Smooth bluesy/jazzy feel, with lots of scope for vocal harmonies and acapella. Sort of a trip-hop/blues vibe. A cross between Morcheeba and Fleetwood Mac, maybe. 8.
I don't like marmite, but I've never thought it worth starting a thread about.
yes but we're not on a Yeast Extract forum. 😉
9. I really couldn't bare to listen to another Adele record. I really don't care how good her voice is. There are lots of great voices out there. Bores the f***ing sh*t out of me.
10. They are very clever. But if i could only sample either me or my wife snorring, and the dog scratching, and edit it in a clever way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RND-jyHboM8 seriously though, WOW. Tyladbubya is a master at this.
11. This guy is so good. Very slick soul music. Amazing harmonies, great bass playing..
12. He always brightened my day with his music. http://youtu.be/la0eUKD9kNw
13. Oh. No way.!! that's very sad to hear. One of my heroes was Al J. A very unique sound. One of the masters of soul music.
14.
OT but the Lauren Hill racism thing is a bit of an urban myth. http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/laurynhill.asp
She did actually say anti white comments in a music magazine in the late 90,s. Doesn't matter.
15.
and the Pips weren't shabby, either.
done
16. an absolute soul classic now imo..the racist Lauryn Hill accompanying http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFO0ZEFOji8
17. Les not forget she was playing piano in a lot of this recording. Just an awesome musical woman. And just like Prince she had a huge vocal range.
18. Just so excellent this record. Lots of groove. She could sing from the phone book and it would still sound great.
19. Ive heard a P bass leans you to play differently. Gives you a bit of a fresh perspective on your playing
