True, but then I don't want to stuff up the marketplace with six different ads. So if I am going to put them up for sale together, I have to state the correct price for the whole collection as stated in the forum rules.
Good luck with your sale. Its a wonderful collection.
Just to quote forum rules: 1 - You must put a correct trade value or price. 2 - If you have more than one item in your post, put the price of all items in total, or create a separate ad for each. This is exactly what I did.
Yes. But your not selling them all together. You've stated that you may sell them individually. Unless your hoping that someone has £10,000

I think it would be good if an administrator tells us all why we need to price our basses. The reasons for doing so and all. I have no frickin idea to be honest but there is a reason I'm sure. In my humble opinion Bacon and cheese and I mean this not to cause offense and I'm sure your honest. But I'm sure if the price/s were not on the table for everyone to see, it would be easy for the dishonest person to have a private bidding war maybe.? I could be totally wrong here.?
We've had a thread on this: http://basschat.co.uk/topic/258272-semi-acoustic-sixes/page__p__2752507__hl__thundercat__fromsearch__1#entry2752507 And moreover it was located properly under Bass Guitars. No worse a crime than failing to post in the relevant category.
I like to think of it as a crossover post.
Reminds me of Patituci's Yamaha acoustic 6.
I love that. Im not sure my ribs and arm would say the same.

Apart from the guys amazing talent on the bass and his music. I really dig this six string. At first i thought it was an Ibanez, but I'm not sure. Maybe a custom Ibanez semi acoustic.?. Is it an Artcore.?

Am I missing something.? It just looks like a black P bass with some red on it and a black headstock. Whilst saving money and not glossing the bass. One of the more pointless exercises from Fender,s marketing team.

BRITS, Hall of Fame and all that pants

Imagine if they had a MOWO.
The whole Brit / Grammy award thing is all about making money on the pretext of honouring artists. Personally I hate the idea of music awards. Best band, best album, says who? Music's not a competition.
No its not. But its just a vote, and doesn't mean its the best. Its just TV, everyone will watch it , go home and not be influenced by whats best on a TV award ceremony. You like what you like. You don't need an award show to tell you that. Like you said its all about money. Just like the charts. Do i think that a lot of artists are worthy of recognition.? Yes i do. -
I wonder how many Maruszczyk owners didn't need a new bass until they saw other people's sofa shots of something colourful and pretty, and thought... That's what marketing is all about, and Fender just seem to be rubbish at it.
I agree. But like someone else has said it comes down to cost at mass production. People will still buy them though. I think that's the difference. I'm not sure they really care about the customer as much as Adrian Maruszczyk does. I do wonder if he could mantain his quality and options if he were as big as Fender.?

Is there a reason for the apparent dislike for active basses...
bubinga5 replied to Rocker's topic in Bass Guitars
How many people are running a passive only EQ on their amps with these passive basses?
Arent we talking passive basses. Not passive amps. It's a given that the amp has an EQ and an active circuit. But the bass itself is still passive. Good point though. -
I'm more baffled by there website. Very confusing. Missing colours, missing basses.
Hello mate, Just admiring the bass. Have you ever thought about putting a 2mm packer in between the saddles of the bridge? Maybe you could use something metal to help not thwart any sustain. You could do it creatively to be discrete. I did this with a 70's jazz bass and it worked a treat i thought. I guess you'd need 8mm to spare on the width of the neck.
Arent these SR5 necks designed for this string spacing. ? I really would dig an SR5 with 19 mm spacing
From that episode I think this is my favourite tune
Boz Scaggs is a huge favourite of mine. He sung backing vocals with Micheal Mcdonald on a lot of Steely Dan records. His guitar playing with Steve is great.

Why are loads of product demos etc. slap?
bubinga5 replied to ROConnell's topic in General Discussion
Slap doesn't tell you anything about the sound of the bass, other than how it sounds when it's slapped. When was the last time you heard slap bass on a contemporary recording on the radio ? In all my years of gigging I've only ever had to play it on one song, that was car wash. I hate slap bass. We had to do various slap things at uni as exam things, Frankenstein being one. I absolutely hated them.
Oh that word Hate is harsh, but I'm sure I've used it before so i get how you might feel.. Its just another technique. Yes it can be annoying, but there are great examples depending on the player. There are a few pop records that the bass player slaps on. I will agree that Dan Veal's playing is great and i love his level headed reviews. i don't think its good to dismiss a technique. Not all bass players use there ego when there playing slap. "Slap doesn't tell you anything about the sound of the bass, other than how it sounds when it's slapped" isn't that the point.?
