1. An absolute old school Hiphop masterpiece. A lyrical genius is Big Daddy Kane, he's a hugely great musician. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5e8KvtRMAqc

4. New Yorks best. Although he's not a native, Guru was a Hip Hop genius. Not many know he was a bad ass bass player and drummer. He used to play bass for a gospel band in Boston. DJ Premier is another HH genius. Absolute killer record with Guru's laid back delivery.
5. East cost Boston\NewYork Hip Hop from the masters. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izP3cGTYiF4
6. It would seem that i talked.(not for the first time) absolute sh*t on Bass Chat. Babbling nonsense like the crazy man who lives upstairs with lots of cats. i do apologise. Me and the wife had some rather lovely Port and Brandy
7. As Alan Partridge might say, i will awate the selling of your Moduli.
8. There are a few on here who will love that.
9. Oh yes lovely. that got me.!

12.
Do what's right for the song
That comes from listening. and listening and listening. To all genres. But i think you can really bed down into one and be really good at it. Not many can be a master of all genres. They call them session musicians, but its a bit like calling them a Lakland 55-02. They can get there but they don't really get there.
13. Its as very cool as west coast hipHop was at that time… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP6dSTGR8MM
14. Killer Snoop Dogg on the same album.
15. I think this is possibly the best album I've ever heard when it comes to Hip Hop... DJ Premier's double album, Signature Sounds. Sonja Blade with the master DJ Premier from GangStarr. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTiH6lXVeoM

18.
If you haven't heard this already it might be of interest. Thanks for the clip.
Where the f*** did you get that from.?? Yes i like that very much.!!! Sounds very Jazz Funk.
19. This is just something else. There like Pink Floyd on steroids for me. Just amazing musicianship, timing, conception of what they want/wanted to sound like… Possibly the best rhythm section I've ever heard. As tight a band as you could possibly want. A total pleasure to listen to. I can imagine Jimi Hendrix if he ever heard it, being totally blown away by this music, but ironically they were possibly influenced by him. Strangely this is not usually my thing but I'm absolutely entranced by the Ozrics. They so damn funky them dudes.
20.
The GTA track list is a good 'un. I often found myself playing GTA just for the tunes. The chatter on the spoof radio stations was hilarious.
Ha ha yeah i literally played the game for the radio stations. some really great records on that game. this be one of the classics Ms Champagne Evelyn King. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAaZl5pCcAQ
21. Derailing my own. This aint no guilty pleasure. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4FjzxWD3ck&index=39&list=FLzVUqeF1SLjxa78y2gd03dQ

23. Just an epic 80's electric groove record from the Pointer Sisters.!!! Absolutely love this record. (as does my sister)
24.
I think he means the "808 Dink Fair Sweater Broodcock", if not, he might be talking about the awful quasi, cacky, tinpot attempt at a Cowbell sound, that was crawling all over Whitney Houston 80's tunes. Then again, it might be those funny Tom sounding things...... Wet hey, similar sounds here on this terrific tune. Amii Stewart.
fantastic record bud.
25. [s]This for me is listening and time, Melvin just nails this and uses this song to the best he can . and recognising the melody. [/s]
