Double buck Warwicks in my experience tone wise are huge. I haven't played a double buck streamer but I owned a DB Corvette 5 string. That bass would cut through anything. Massive sound. Don't like small body basses though.

I remember buying this album many years ago. His scatting and bass playing just blew me away.

It's my favourite genre of music by far. It mixes elements of soul jazz and funk. These are a couple of my favourites.
