1. I spotted this vid. He seems like a really good bassist.seems to have a good grasp of slap. He's playing a Jabba I think. http://youtu.be/bHyoCC_NnEA
2. Is it just me. Or does Paul Turner lack a bit of soul in his bass playing. It's almost like he's been to music school, but never really had that something.
3. For me there finest record. Bass playing from Mr X. which I believe is Ernie Mckowne from various later Incognito fame. It's just fantastic playing. http://youtu.be/y9DHDTu0jT0
4.
Wasn't this album recorded on a Stingray?
Doesn't sound like a stingray to me
5. I remember when this album came out. some really great records. I like his playing because it's so for the record and always interesting. In some cases his playing made the record better.
6. Great playing from both in this question answer jam playing. Nathan is class. http://youtu.be/xYpzAw0IiCM
7. Loved him with Incognito. He has his own Band. The PB Underground. Tony Momrelle from Incognito sings on his stuff.
8. I have a friend who is having a birthday party on Saturday. He's asked me to bring the bass. The guy who is entertaining is an established pianist. A conundrum. I have no problem playing, or are scared of jamming with anyone. Ive been jamming for 15 years with good and bad. But I feel a little uncomfortable turning up, rolling in the amp etc etc.
9.
It's not so long lost, its still here…. Bump for a super Sei !
Would love that bass back. What with Christmas coming up and all Supabock. Ha ha. 😁
10.
Wow. Do people actually wear this stuff?
I'm not a fan. like tshirts saying bass players do it deeper etc etc.
11. Love it. I think these are one of the best six string basses ever made. Love the necks. I love the early TRB 6 basses. They have a great clarity but awsome growl. Check out the awsome Deborah Killings on a JP. http://youtu.be/jeZK9BD90F4
12. I think Victor Wooten,s 2 part playing on this Earth Wind and Fire record is just so so great. So very musical. http://youtu.be/j03KHvXaBZg
13. http://youtu.be/ye5TdIpQtx8 it's just superb.James Jamersons pissed, laying on his back recorded this bass line.
14. I will add this from Ozrics. The bass playing is just awsome. Nothing too complicated, but when I think of groove, I think of this. He just lays this bassline down very well with great feel and impecable timing. http://youtu.be/T9BD3JS2DRI
15. Iconic bass line for sure is Good Times. But of course there is no pinnacle. But my favourite is Willie Weeks on Donny Hathaway Little Ghetto Boy. It's just sublime bass playing.
16. The legends are playing at there home town again. 23rd and 24th of December. I will so be going with the gang. https://m.evensi.uk/christmas-with-incognito-the-jazz-cafe/187348039
17. I just sent them an email. Got one back asking for pictures etc. Does this mean I'm getting a replacemental. ? YAY.!!
18.
He can have as many houses as he likes, surely? He probably employs a load of people to look after 'em, too.
who gives a😕
19. Sorry I cant help but post this amazing record http://youtu.be/buadfz2qcbY
20.
I've seen het live with the 'Bitter' tour in 1999 on the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague. I didn't know what hit me. Still one of my favorite albums ever!
Loyalty from that album is great. Her live. http://youtu.be/eG-kMf2uhQ0
