    I can't remember the last time I saw a MM jazz for sale on BC. I would be rather partial to a trade on one. Maybe I've missed them. Are they still making the mexico model.?

    The Lakland 5502 does a great job of putting together a jazz bass and a music man. But it doesn't quite get there. Doesnt truely sound like the full fat MM tone. And in the Jazz bass switching you dont really get that Jazz bass tone. not sure why and I do wonder why. Surely it's simple. Put 2 single coil pickups on a bass 70,s potition and then add another single coil inside to the bridge single coil. There we go a perfect MM sound switching to both rear, then switch to the outside coils. Voila.!! I'm sure im missing something as I'm not a pickups expert. Why doesn't it work like that. Is it because of the nature or the humbucker of the music man that you can't split it in that way.? If not why not have a MM alnico then a rear jazz pickup then a jazz neck pickup.? Ok why not just have one big big pickup from the bridge to the neck.? Yes I'm getting carried away now

    Really nice. And your right, there are no duds when it comes to MM basses, maybe a little heavy from time to time. but build quality is always good.

    Both amazing sounding. But the Jazz is more versatile. Doesn't make it better though.

If it's a RI 75 where are the big Fender tuner bases.? If it's MIJ why is the serial number saying it's American.? It's without doubt a fake and he's trying to rip you off.

    Maruszczyk Elwood 5 Jazz Bass for trade only. Ash body with a translucent cherry red finish and matching headstock. The bass now has Bartolini's, a traditional jazz bass control plate and a Delano Sonar 2 preamp. Massive ABM bridge. Rolled finger board. Active/passive switching . Zero fret. Graphite neck rod. The Delano pre is, volume/push pull/passive /active /Pickup selection/sweep/ Bass/ Treble. THE most comfortable 5 string neck i have ever played. 19 mm string spacing at the bridge. Its a shallow feeling neck very much like a Lakland 55-02. An amazing B string. It is really one of the best I've played. Super taught and punchy. There is no floppy B string on this bass. This bass was made in 2015 and in brand new condition. There is not a single mark on this instrument. its like brand new. It weighs 9.6 pounds,so is a lightweight for a 5 string. One of the best super jazz basses I've ever played. Easily up there with Sadowsky Metro's, Sandberg's, Mayones's etc. Looking for.     Double buck Warwicks in my experience tone wise are huge. I haven't played a double buck streamer but I owned a DB Corvette 5 string. That bass would cut through anything. Massive sound. Don't like small body basses though.

    I'm a jazz bass man through and through. I do like that P bass thump. But I much prefer the articulation of a Jazz bass. Isn't the Jazz bass an evolution of the P Bass anyways.😉
