2. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Sadowsky_NYC_Jazz_4_Masterbuilt.html This is just wonderful. That instrument must sound killer. Just sayin.
3.
dont screw it in ! A normal rack is not too bad, but rack bags! it like wrapping a quilt around it, it protects it in transit, but if you leave the amp in and turn it on, then its going to heat up. i know some amps like the swr the metal case is a part of the cooling system in that the heat sinks are bolted to it to help dissipate the heat away from the transistors, if you go wrapping it in protective padding, and then turn it on !, for the sake of 10 seconds at a gig, take it out the bag and let it breath as intended.
Funkgod, I want to keep it in the bag to be honest. Especially if i have a rack tuner above it. I would like to put the Mac Pro on top also.
4. The Aguilar AG500 is vented on the top. And the Gator bags are tight with the top of the amp.
5. I think a 3u it is from Gator. I'm ordering a Korg Pitch Black rack tuner, so that will be ideal.
6. Any one know about rack Bags and the need for air flow. I've heard the Gator 2u has very little clearance at the top. My aguilar is vented on the top at the rear left.
7. Looks like it will be either SKB or Gator, i cant find any from LD systems. Hmmmm..... Research, I do like to research what I buy.
8. Hey all. I'm after a 2u rack bag, preferably with long strap etc. All i can seem to find is bags from gator or skb. Who else makes them.? Although the Gator GRB case looks good. Any other ideas.?

11. Seems very very good so far. I may cancel before 14 days then come back when I have the cash.it definitely seems worth the $168.I presume that's a years subscription. ?
12. Has anyone actually signed up for his tutorials online. I'm a little confused. I've just started a 14 day trial, but after that it's $168!. I thought it was just Scott and his bass lessons.? Not the SBL academy.?
13. Does any one know if they sell pickguard for there instruments.?
14. I'm not sure it's about output. It's about tone.
15.
A number of folks here are saying they use both volumes on full. I've found that this gives lower output than if you back one volume off a little. Am I missing something?
16.
All volume and tone pots on 100%. My sound comes from my amp, my tone comes from my fingers. Blue
17.
That sums it up nicely, I'd say.
but it didn't answer his question
18.
I have a couple.... Wood and Tronics and a Valenti. Really got back into passive basses again having bought a Jazz Road Worn, but still want to use the active basses, all be it in a passive mode, but I am curious by switching them to passive, will I lose some of what they are capable of, apart from the obvious that happens going from active to passive...
you will be running the sound to what your pickups are capable of.
19.
More recommended listening from the Bass Player article.. Everything he does is so sympathetic to the song/track..
Now that is what I'm talking about.! Fantastic bass playin. That Hubert Laws record is fantastic.!! Lee Oskar . Excellent stuff.
20. It depends on the preamp, of course there will be a drop off in performance, thats what an active system is there for. But some preamps are clean, meaning, they will not colour the sound either in active or passive, with (importantly) no drop in volume when switching from active to passive. Some preamps are coloured specifically for there manufacturers tone. and also when you switch the battery off, you will get a drop in volume and the specific tone to that preamp. What bass are you referring to.? The experts will be along soon.
21. Thats an old vid. That guy now is a monster bass player as you might imagine. His name is Micheal Pipoquinha. his solo work with his band WDR. check out his solo @ 2.25
22. I think this is brilliant, creative, musical chordal playing from the great Uriah Duffy. a great rendition of Micheal Jackson's Human Nature.
23. I love Bobby Vega. He is out there on his own with his breadth of technique's and musicality. And that palm muting is great.
