1.
Easiest thing to get an accurate true value is do a search through the BC sales section. Problem with asking an open question,is that someone thinking of buying will say less than the true value (after all they want it cheap), folks who have them or looking to sell, will want to say more than market value! :/ The truth is that they are worth what someone is prepared to pay.
Yeah sure. I'm a little clueless on Amp Cab prices. Thanks for the advice.
 2. Any idea what an Aggy AG500sc and a Aggy GS212 are worth..?
 3. Email sent. whats the weight by the way.?
 4.
Willie Weeks or Nathan Watts - what a choice!
Donny Hathaway was blessed. Only Pino matches him.
 5.
A defining bass line. To a certain extent Nathan Watts was lucky that his signature licks fitted right in. Maybe his style was in Stevie Wonders mind when he wrote the song.
He wasn't lucky imo, Nathan could play any genre. Stevie was going to choose Willie Weeks, but Nathan played and he liked him.
 6.
and some bloke called Dizzy on the trumpet? Not bad.
am i the only person that thinks that Dizzy is really not pushing his trumpet out there on this record. especially next to Stevies chromatic harmonica.
 7. Maybe its the way different people approach writing music. Prince writes his lyrics first on one record, then he came up with You Sexy MF from his bass line. creativity is variable.
 8. Tis why i love music like Victor. as well as other instrumental only music. his playing is very incredible on this Earth Wind and Fire classic. if there is a bass player that speaks through his instrument its this guy. its wonderful bass playing through his effect that hes using. and great 2 part bass playing. Marcus Miller is another master when he uses his fingers.
 9. When i listen to music i very rarely always listen to the lyrics of a song, sometimes i feel I'm missing out on something. I think i may be lyrically devoid. i get so much from the music and i analyse it. My wife has said to me " don't you know what this song is about" and i say no not really. sometimes i know the lyrics but I'm more absorbed in the sounds. i know I'm missing a lot, but its just what i do. My dad is a classical Pianist and a musical director and he said."Andrew there is more music in the music than the speech". Music (and the people who play it) for me has always been about sound expression. i do love Meshell Ngeocello's lyrics but its not my ears first point of call. Does anyone feel the same. ?
 10.
Lovely stuff. Not my words but the words of Shakin' Stevens
ha ha. Excellent. i see there is an Alan Partridge fan in the crowd. Don't get me started on my Alan quote's
 11. I love the film and one of my favourite actors is Gary Oldman, he's a very special talent imo. This song is from Bram Stoker's Dracula. I'm possibly on my own when thinking this is a fabulously emotional piece of music. The strings, the Harp, the whole orchestra are just imo fabulous. brings a tear to thine eye. Wojciech is such a master. the film score for this film is quite something. hes written scores for Roman Polanski's the Pianist. as we'll as many other's. Francis Ford Coppola specifically wanted him for this score and i can hear why. sadness is one of the most powerful emotions.
 12. There is nothing quite like like this. Stevie on harmonica and Nathan Watts on bass. i just love this music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLEDT4jMtks

 15.
The 1975 did this recently which I reckon was definitely inspired by 'Sledgehammer' amongst other 80s stuff. Okay, the video is not quite in the same league..
The 1975 are fantastic. they have a sound thats very 80"s but sound contemporary at the same time.
 16. Nile Rodgers groove/production is evident. he was the most successful musical chameleon.
 17. I do love this record. one of the best early MTV videos of all time. Very creative artist that he is, with a song about sex. Very innovative musician. Would love to see creativity like this more in popular music today.

 21.
This has to be my favourite Jazz bass tone. I remember having this track on repeat for days when I first heard it. I think jazz basses are an instrument that really bring out an individual's personal sound.
that Jazz bass tone is easily my favourite from any bass ever.. The 70's Jazz tone is my favourite by far.
 22. Really would like a Jazz again. especially a Lakland JO 4 or a Fender. off to trade my 55-02 i go.
