1. As you might know, I've been looking after a BC'ers bass for 2 years. he has informed me that i can do with it what i want. so i would either like to give it to someone who can't afford a good bass, i remember when i couldn't, so that is close to my heart. or if there are no takers. the bass will be sold outside of BassChat, and the money will go to Bass Chat. I've been on this forum since 2007 so maybe time to give something back apart from endless babbling and music posts. either way its got to go, my wife is hen pecking me. please be honest, if it is going to a good home. i was thinking maybe someones younger one might like it, if they wanted to start playing bass. anyways. Its a Tune Maniac Ebony FretBoard PJ config Brass nut the neck is just superb, very ibanez 4 string. weigh's 9.7 pounds. Tune Tuners. Price is 0 obviously. set up right with good strings this is a killer bass. has some knocks here and there, and needs a set up and new strings but apart from that it is in good condition... here is Marlowe playing one with a different preamp config and piccolo strings. the pickups sound great though. 2. he has told me i can do with it what i want. I would like to give it to someone who is after a bass but can't afford a decent one.
 3.
Hi chaps This is what's happened - you've probably gone back a page during the listing/paying process and as such both 'items' have been added to your basket. You need to start all over again, probably clear your cookies too. Hope that helps, let me know if you have any problems ped
Seems the same every time i try and pay Ped. £27 is going to be charged to my Visa.
 4.
The best method would have been to PM a Mod or Admin; I've just done this on your behalf, and someone will be along shortly to see what's happened. A little patience, please; meanwhile, here's some soothing music... (Caution : Do not stop on the tracks. )
thats just great.!!
 5. i just want to pay £7.00 to advertise the bass. is this possible. ? seems like paypal are charging the £20 fee.?
 6. this is just so good. Ed Motta at his funky best. those funky guitar chords he's playing.lets not forget this guys voice or his piano playing. both from such a great album. will always love the bass playing on these records.
 7. Yeah it is tricky James. but practice has a great way of rewarding you. this is not so hard but so very rewarding. . Like Harlequin said. Awsome. the music behind it is just fantastic. one of the great Jamiroquai records.
 8. not them bloody worms again.
 9. still going. still coming out with some great hip hop/funky records.
 10. Im wanting to sell a bass on BC, that is stated as £7.00. but when i come to the final bill with Pay Pal. I'm hit with a £27 bill. WTF.? i just want to sell a Tune Bass.
 11.
This discussion is worthless unless someone knows who is the leading pioneer of post pre modern gothic christian hardcore jazz metal.
Lemmy
 12.
Used to love Shakin' Stevens when I was nipper. Ironically, he actually has Parkinson's disease now.
oh what a shame, i didn't know that... he was my bread and butter musically when i was a nipper also.
 13.
As we have to listen to both Christmas records come November 30th, I have to say i prefer Shaky`s effort more than Wham`s. It is also surprising that Shaky was in the top 40, 33 times in his career.
i will never forget him on the Russel Harty show early 90's pissed and getting aggressive. i also remember dancing at the school disco to green door and this old house. then realised he was a poor mans Elvis. so stopped.
 14.
Love the bass on the Wham! stuff (Estus/Lang/McKenzie) - even the synth on 'Everything She Wants' is awesome !
love the synth on that too. !
 15.
I won`t knock George Micheal`s solo stuff. Again, not my cup of tea, but his talent as a writer and singer can`t be denied. I just saw Wham as a cheesy band that firmly belonged in the 80`s. I understand the appeal to the older people who like Wake Me Up, but i will always turn the radio down if that cames on. His solo stuff was much more refined and mature.
i would probably do the same Timmo. Im not a fan of that record and i know where your coming from. but although not to my/your taste,i see the talent in that and other records. i really don't like Abba,i see them as a cheesy band. but i can see the talent and recognise why other people might like it. so my next Shakin Stevens post is a no goer for you.?
 16.
You can give all the examples that you want. In my opinion, they were an awful band. Club Tropicana is one of the examples i would give to highlight just how bad they were. You might look upon them with affection, i look upon them as everything that was wrong with music in the 80`s. Just listening to the 2 examples above for 5 seconds sent shudders through my body. On the other hand, the musicians behind the band, as ever with these type of bands, the people behind them are the real talent.
he is the person behind them. but never mind. and its not affection mate its just appreciation. you don't like the music. nowt wrong with that.
 17. i was going to ask you to list them but don't worry. but you can if you want. I'm stumped on a few.
 18. listening to this album, which is not all great imo, but you hear a record like this and it makes it all better.. just love the bassline he plays on this. his harmonies are also fantastic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84s_rq-6K2k
 19.
Good interview. I was surprised that Wham had decent musicians behind them. The thing that filled me with dread was when he said there was talk of a Wham reunion. They really were an awful band
they definitely were not an awful band. yep they wrote some pop mediocre, but they also wrote some fantastic pop records. this being one of them .. great bass line and a great record . George Micheal is and has always been a very good piano and guitar player and a writer of some of the best pop music ever.love Don's great slap line and finger style. i think some disregard the skill underneath these records. although not to ones taste, the records like carless whisper, everything she wants, are remembered for a reason. written by George Micheal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9abYzI9ycjk
 20.
Unless you see Motown as the pop machine of it's day , which some do , which commercially speaking I guess it was.
for sure. i guess he influenced pop down the line.
 21. when i think of Iconic Bass Player's in Pop. James Jamerson does not spring to mind.
