I'm saying this from a, i have no idea perspective, but is there a reason why a P Bass sounds bad soloed,? might it be the player, or just the focus in tone of the instrument.?

Man this guy imo is just up there with theeee best drummers who have ever lived. Buddy Rich. a short tempered master of rhythm. his drumming is just EPIC. this vid just says it all. his timing is just perfect, his touch is just perfect.when he's slows the tempo and then speeds it up again.. his drumming is nothing short of beautiful imo. yep stupid me.. I've just tried a different lead and its the same. i should add it distorted quite badly on saturday night while playing live.

i recently acquired a 55-02. just wondering from the vast experience on this forum, your experiences of how both basses compare. apart from the obvious pickup arrangement. . I'm thinking the later plek'd basses but any thoughts are welcome. i know some JO5's can be heavy, but i was wondering how the neck compares, scale length etc. does the JO5 have a preamp.?. any thoughts generally. thanks.

Seems i have a scratching noise coming from the input on my Aguilar when i move the lead or spin the jack.. i know close to zero about amp tech. any ideas what this might be. is it an easy fix.. i have a repair guy in mind but don't want to go to him if i don't need.. Or could it be my lead i ask myself.?

absolutely incredible synth bass line by Stevie imo.. ok its not on the electric bass, but a bass line is a bass line. the changing between chords are fantastic. and his voice is just incredible. this is not an easy bassline to play on a 4 string.
