  1. All original Lakland Deluxe 5502 for sale. 8/10 condition. There are swirls in the top coat. A few very small marks on the neck. Amazing quilted top. PLEKED.. USA LH3 preamp Lakland USA pickups. Made in Korea so its a 2006. 9.8 pounds . I only play basses that feel and play amazing and this is one of them. Dead straight neck with a super low action. Anyone who knows these basses know they are massive sounding with articulation. The greatest all rounder bass without doubt. Ive had a Laky USA 5594 and apart from the quarter sawn neck i cant tell the difference. I dont have a hard case so cant post ( unless you want to supply a hard case as i dont use them) but can deliver within 30 miles for a meet up. I will consider a Sire 5 string plus cash my way.
  2. I easily prefer the stock bridge. To my ears the high mass takes away the bright attack of a jazz bass. More compessed. So for it looses that attack that a jazz bass is known for. Like alot of bass gimmicks in the basd world lime string through bodies et etc. BUT im not going to knock em because it certainly works for some cats.
  3. Aargg it wont let me download his drumming.!!!! Fgs
  4. Ive played with alot of drummers in my time but this guy.. hes a fantastic bass player also. Drummer with the orange Jazz.
  5. Can a Sanberg MMj do a 5502 tonally. I mean the older California Jazz.?
  6. Put up with single coils. They are just magic.
  7. Me and a pal who's a drummer want to have a jam along with some chords, so I was looking for some backing tracks with no drums or bass. Can I find any.!! Nope.. Something funky latin etc. Any ideas. ? Thankyou.
  8. thanks guys. awesome info as ever.
  9. Pretty fed up of buying cheap AUX cables and 1/4 inch adaptors from Amazon. Any idea where I can find these two items that actually last.? Thanks for any info.
  10. Where did £500 come from.? I got my Squier 40th Jazz for £370 and its as good as any USA Fender ive ever played.
  11. Any trades Kevin.?
  12. Kevin can you tell us more about the bass.? What year was it made, seems to be an early Shuker.. what is the weight.? obviously its not a sunburst finish so that's confusing and its a flame top not a quilt.. Truss rod adjustment.?? Maple headstock veneer.? The pickups look to be Bartolini not EMG....Im aware James Crofts used to be a BC member and is a pro bass player.
  13. Looking for a cheap gig bag that has lots of padding. £100 budget to fit a jazz bass.. Any recommendations.? Thankyou in advance.
  14. Ive had a few.. the one that was just awful was a CS 1970 jazz bass. Limited edition. 1 of 100 made. Im not sure what they did to it. But it wasnt resonant. Weak pickups. Big gaps in the neck pocket.. I had a USA 75 avri jazz that was excellent. The best by a long way was a non export MIJ 75 jazz. That thing was killer. Everything you want in a jazz bass. Resonant. Killer tone. Amazing feeling instrument from the fret perfection to the neck profile.
  15. Ludicrously over priced paying for Fender CS name nonsense. Ive seen some custom shop jazzers selling for over 9 grand. Masterbuilt of course by Vincent Van Gogh or whatever his name is. Ive seen a Strat CS for sale on Thomann for 18 grand. The factory tour for the average worker stamping out metal parts all day long on 50 year old presses is not a pretty site.
  16. His guitar solo is just.....................
  17. I mean those albums that every song you hear next you want to hear. Not a skipper.. For me its this.every record on this album is just perfection. This particular track... The whole album I've had in my car for the last 25 years from tape to CD... The guy is an uncertainty but his music is just...
