1.
Sorry, didn't mean to be a big head!!! ..... I really thought that Paul Carrack would be a favourite amongst the, let's say, more mature BC members.
what mature oldies like , Clarky, JTUK, Molan, Xilddx, etc.? yeah they know this stuff already. the nippers need some good music.
2.
No Andrew I dont like it and *your a twat. *You're
the wife just called me that,so another one wont hurt.
3.
After playing since the 70s with groups like Ace, Squeeze, Roxy Music, Elton John, Mike and the Mechanics, Simply Red, Roger Walters, Ringo Starr and having made 16 albums and with a UK #2 and US #1 i'm sure that a lot of people know Paul.
well i wasnt talking about you knowledgeable dudes obviously.. !!
4. oh my. why cant you guys just say. yeah Andrew i like the playing and enjoyed it, or no Andrew i dont like it and your a twat. ?
5. please keep your " its because its a girl sh*t" to your self. can't be bothered with it. got that out the way. ive seen this bassist before, love her playing. never seen a Sting ray with gold hard wear, HH, blue sr4 with a maple neck. ?? her playing is cracking. totally solid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XxkzCm-nrY
6. Wonderful bass playing, Magical vocals. really enjoyed that. thanks
7. i love this guys musicality ..i love his voice. like i do Micheal Mcdonald, . his sound/style and playing reminds me of him... ive not heard any Warm Dust, but i know alot of ACE's records. he always seem like the sort of musician that was behind the music. love his live version of this. one of my favourite ever records. the reason i mentioned Pino is because not a lot of people know Paul, so i suckered you Pino lovers into listen this guys music. Muuwhaaa.! ok you know him already. His and the bands version of Marvin Gaye's Whats Goin on is really great. 8.

i think your confused, as to why there were signs such as this that day. it was nothing to do with the actual music, it was the lifestyle associated with it.
9. what do you guys think about this instrument. does anyone own one.? what do you think of the Bart preamp, or the LH3.? im aware that these basses have 60's spacing, but does anyone know of any jazz basses that have 70's spacing around the £1000 ball park
10. man these are superb instruments. played one a while ago and the punch these basses have are really great.
11. i reserve the right to say that is f***in gorgeous. great price also. Fenders are suppose to have dings.!
12. Lowdown can you recommend any software.?
13. super cool stuff. a very tight band.... Skate U is something to behold. Shaun Martins keys are fabulous. the whole thing is just amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RluNrXjP3zY
14. hes a great teacher of the instrument. he really looks at teaching from the learners point of view.
15.
='ambient' But for something to be perfect, which is highly subjective anyway, you have t realise that you may be wrong MB1. I agree the more money you throw at something doesn't necessarily make it better I often think the Steelys still haven't found what they're looking for though? ...When was the last time you saw them smiling?
i reckon there very comfortable. the thing is with Steely Dan they were never a band you could put a label on because they crossed musicals genres. that maybe gives people the impression that there not a grounded band. for me i love Donald's dry sense of humour. you only have to listen to some of there lyrics to get how much humour they have.
16.
There are some writers out there that virtually hear the completed song in their head, and if what they are actually hearing doesn't sound like that, then, to them it sounds wrong. Don't know if that is the case with SD, but it's their baby, they call the shots. If I've heard about SD's reputation, you can be sure all the US session guys know about it. In which case, if you don't like it, don't take the gig. IAC Their reputation, and how a record was made, really shouldn't make any difference to anyon'e enjoyment of the end product.
yeah for sure.Prince is one of them. i dont think there is any excuse for arrogance, but im sure Donald and Walter wouldnt mean any bad feelings. ive seen an interview with Donald and he says he digs the slap line that Chuck played. was very recent. anyway what they say goes, wether it be right or wrong. lets face it they have the proof that what they do works.
17. why did you think they were dicks? just interested.
18. Does anyone else play.? i had an old Yamaha M06 and too be honest it wasnt for me. went out and tried this and it is superb. its a Yamaha P35b. the weighted keys are very close to the real thing. and Yamaha's grand piano sounds are really great. The Rhodes is nice, can also use it as a controller board. 88 Keys, 10 voices, reverb and other effects, nice and simple. and came witha really posh stand unit and padded bag. what i really wanted was a Nord but i canny afford it
19. thanks for that. seems a shame they dont use the 'bit of 2 by 4' as the neck, suspending the body for painting. Fender just dont get the fact that bassists like to take the pick guard off.
20. seems strange that MIJ Fender Jazz bodies have no routing at all. i just think its something to do with the tooling a certain factory is using.? interested to find out though
21. Yeah im lost too. i know one thing. identification is not why they have holes.
