Im needing a new control plate for my MIJ 75 Jazz.. the back pickup stem has snapped... any clues if Fender do just a standard control plate for every jazz bass.. not looking forward to the price of a new USA control plate to be honest... i should add the control plate i have has no grub screws in the knobs.. so i cant just replace the pot... if i remember the USA versions do.?

anyone know of any good rehearsal rooms/spaces between evesham and Birmingham.. preferably in the middle... just met a new drummer and was hoping to find a studio/rehearsal room in this rough area to meet up and have a jam... thanks for any info.

bobby caldwell is a seriously talented guy, amazing voice. played most of the instruments on that album so ive heard.

most 75 jazz reissues from Japan come with 60's spacing, but the non export models from the MIJ sometimes come with 70's spacing.. not always. though..... the non export CIJ usually come with 70's spacing and in various wonderful colour's like lake placid blue etc.. in the 90's they made the non export model in natural.. like the one i have.. dont think they make them anymore,, i could be wrong...

no doubt hes a killer player.. i could be totally wrong and uniformed, but i wish he would broaden his playing to maybe do some session work with other artists.. it always seems to come back to L42... dont get me wrong some of there stuff is amazing, but he does seem to be stuck there, in some peoples opinions.. for such a special musician it seems a shame that he hasnt broken the L42 mold.... im sure a renaissance is in the making at some point maybe
