some one said all they can get from a P bass is a thud.? cant understand that.. anyways im not to keen on the look of Ricks... i would still play one though.... ive really gone off fancy wood basses, especially spalted maple. and buck eye burl....theres not many basses i wouldnt play but... i really dont like basses that are headless, lots of flashing LED's, have a hugely HIFI tone, and the people who are playing them seem to be stuck in the 80's... no no no...

hey Floyd do you have any of the Incognito side band albums like Inner Shade etc..

i dont think you will find a better deal than the Bass Chat for sale section... you will always pay less and get a better bass imo..

your not the only one Jim.. my sister has always loved Bluey since the days of the warriors back in the late 70's.. do you remember that collaboration? when 'jazz funk' came out, it was a revelation.. your right.. his music always sounds fresh...

ive had the Aguilar for a long time now and it never ceases to amaze me how good it sounds... basses have come and gone, but the AG 500sc and the 212 always delivers a fantastic sound.. easy to use fairly light weight... i dont look any further for a better sound.. have you found your amp first time round or are you still looking?

as we all know, there is no 'better'... but it seems to me you like the jazz and the p bass.. so why not do the PJ route.. either a jazz Reggie, or a PJ precision... the best precision ive ever played was either an MIJ Squire P, or a Pino custom shop... you got a great jazz bass, so a P seems logical..

im aware of the american traditional strat but not a jazz bass.. do you have a link dude?

so whats an American Traditional then? never heard of them... ive never seen a jazz bass with traditional written on the headstock... the one piece scratchplates are from the 80's also.. do you mean American Vintage? that bass is a USA standard jazz..
