2. sorry i didnt get back to you John.. glad you got a result dude..
3. that would be like me going into WHsmiths, looking at the multitude of guitar related magazines... then spotting my oasis, (the lonely bass guitar mag) and finding out half the magazine has guitar content... i really think we are all equal as musicians, but this electric bass forum with its great info, is too important to start diluting...
4. got a light love, my rollups gone out
5. thats what i was thinking..Lysdexia, where for art, is thy mother

9.
Bubinga, cheers for posting all that Pleasure stuff. I can't believe I hadn't really heard them until a few days ago (although I'd heard of Nate Philips). Future Now is a revelation. More for the transcription list!!
no prob dude...
10. is this the same as this bass? http://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-70s-jazz-bass-black/20363
11. sorry this is now sold...
12. i think this is fabulous. great soul funk with Omar and Stevie wonder..
13. imo apart from EWF, the most influential underground soul funk band ever. although you may not realise it ..

16.
Roy Ayers bassist (If I recall correctly), James Mason...
love that fusion funk..
17. doesnt get much better than this.. it just adds to the love of funk and disco i love.... ive loved this track since i was able to listen to music...
18.
There's any number I could have picked, but plumped for this seeing as it kicks off with the bass. Great playing/tone. Allen McGrier, I believe?
that is fantastic.... good call dude...
19. imo.... although its alot faster in tempo, than we might be used to, i think this is fabulous,, Maceo Parker is so so good on this ... for me, the performance of this man is enough.. the things on top are just pure gold..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=ni5ELUVM2eI#!
20. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Am8nCvUmimY
21. he didnt know the rules dude... its an expensive bass... give the man a little time
22.
I would recommend the TRB 5 that "bubinga" currently has up for sale. And you could save yourself £500 squids
ha.. thanks Chris.. well it is a fantastic bass and i appreciate the plug..... but imo, there are better basses that have a better deeper cut horn though... i never really understood why some makers make it hard to get up there.. like Andy said the Lakland 55's have great access to the dusty end.. check out the Mayones Jabba.. maybe a little out of your price range, but second hand its worth a punt and a haggle.. if i was in your position i would look at Ziggy's custom jazz 5... great access to any frets you want.....beautiful bass too..
23. this is so damn funk..
24. i first heard this in New Zealand in 1982 when i was a nipper...my mother loved them.. much more groove than funk.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_uF3npmqg4&feature=related
