7.
That's fair enough. I'm just saying that, as a result of how it's made, I find it dull and linear. Always did. Each to their own, eh?
Yeah.. i was thinking more of the musical content that he had constructed and his voice, but...maybe i need to open my ears more..
8. i must be stuck in 2004 then..whats wrong with enjoying something thats now, regardless of how its made..? just because someone makes music in a certain way doesnt mean its not good.. just me maybe..
9. IMO, ok he is looping , but the guy is very good. and what a voice..
10. i was talking about the bass in the background..
11. This guy is really fantastic.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJfnvna4kwI
12. there are many tones you can get from your finger as we all know, depending on where your pluck, pick, strum from.. there is no doubt these (cool looking) pickup covers get in the way.. i like to use the whole breadth of the string, so they get in the way.. but ive got to say i love the look of them.. erm.. ive left them on sometimes.. fashion over function and all IMO (only talking Fender here) its the only silliness, in Fenders brilliant design
13.
What bass could possibly cost 20k?
more of a selection of basses to throw your cash at..
14.
i'd spend most of that money on an amazing amplifier
what amp could possibly cost near 20k?
15.
FIXED
he he.. i respect his difference, and love some of his basses..its the price im quivering with
16. WOW.. what a bass.. and a great price for a bass of this original price!! i would love this
17. just a bit of fun, but there are many amazing Bass guitar shops in the world... but if you had 20 G's, (like you do) where would you go to spend your scratch For me it would be the Bass Central in Florida... my god they have a selection of electric basses!! endless MusicMans..the SR5 page goes on and on.. Never mind the Ken Smiths..!! Oh and the Fender stock...Oh and the Zons!!..the list goes on.. http://www.basscentral.com/2003/bass.shtml my tongue would be on the floor if i walked into that place.... The Low End shop would be nice too then again Bass Direct wouldnt go a miss
18. Expensive basses arent for the audience though.. there for the player... and what they feel makes them play better whether it be from tone or playability... for example the Sei i had, had a lovely sculpted heel, that made it lovely to play.. little details make a difference
19. Ive had a few expensive basses and now im playing a 21 year old MIJ Fender Jazz..Although im playing through Aguilar amps im the happiest ive ever been... there are so many great basses that sound awsome and play very very well.. like Rob said... its if your happy.. instruments are so subjective to the individual player... different strokes and all that.. and knowone cares what bass your playing.. only you
20.
I personally find Fenders (guitar and bass) really boring. They are fantastic sounding instruments don't get me wrong but I find that there isn't any individuality to them unless you mod the living daylights out of them but then there isn't much fender left to them.
i used to think this..i didnt want to play what everyone else was playing...Then i realised its what you play thats individual.. not the bass.. its just a tool also a jazz bass has many tones to form your individuality from
21. that bass sounds amazing.. great playing too..
