Ive been asked to play for a local cover band. They gave me set list and it is really varied. Some songs are great and some im not a fan of. How many of you guys are in a cover band and are in this situation and what are your thoughts. Im thinking i may learn from the stuff i dont particularly like musically. It varies from AHA to Prince, to Bob Marley to Abba etc. Just wanted anyones thoughts really.

I had a USA Jazz 5 from around 2001 I believe. Was in ocean blue or that type of colour. The B string was awful, really floppy but it may have had the wrong strings on it. Could have done with some DR Low Riders. Whats the price on the one your looking at.? I would certainly buy another one for the right price but I reckon £600 is fair. An absolute master class in jazz funk bass playing. I bought this DVD and was pretty much blown away.

Im not sure I care what they are talking about because I don't understand Portuguese, the music alone and the musicians are just magic.

His keys playing from many years ago is absolute magic.

His best is yet to come I'm thinking.

Ive not heard it all but this is killer. Is there anything this guy can't do. His piano playing alone is killer. fantastic guitar playing also.Of course his bass playing is just. It takes bass forums like this to put out the word about talent like this guy.

Then along comes Oliie and Jake with Ninja Tunes and they literally make a whole new form of UK Hip Hop. I think The Herbaliser are so clever. Jean Grae rapping.When this album came out i was just blown away.

I played one of these at BD when I got my Nordy and I really liked it. More so than the Lull 5 I played.
