I bought a jazz bass many years ago from the bass gallery. Sold it back 2011 I think. Would love to know who has it etc. Its an Ostinato Jazz bass. Aguilar obp2 preamp and EMG pickups if I remember.

The Flight is one of the great unknown soul albums of all time imo. . Talking of modern gospel. New Directions first album is fantastic. This track has so much momentum.

My wife is not really into this sort of music but EVEN SHE looked up from her samsung conversation vortex and said.. "ooh she's excellent isn't she", while i watched Esperanza Spalding live dvd. Debora never usually says anything about the music I listen to. never..... ever!. Its very old this but her electric/acoustic bass playing and singing is really something special. imo. Even my soft rock pop balad loving wife thought so.!! 😆

I want to say AHA's Take on Me because at the time the drawing animation was so unique..., a few others are so great.... But no as always I go with the funk. Its early 90's Prince. Not for young ears please. When I first watched this vid I was in my late 20's and it properly blew me away as someone who thinks about music. Ive always been aware of Prince's vocal range, .apparently he could sing through 6 octaves, He brings it low down on this cracker. Anyways enough of my babbling. Whats yours.?
