  1. Well I better offer you £1 for the case then.?
  2. It is a stunner good luck with the sale OP.
  3. Am I going crazy. Your letting a £12000 bass go for 2 grand.? What am I missing here.
  4. Purchased a TE80. Really cant fault it so far apart from its weight. Not a problem though as we bass players are made of stronger stuff. 😆. Really nice flame top, ash body. I dont know a huge amount about guitar pickups but they are Roswell single coils. No idea. Really nice satin neck. Im amazed you can get a guitar this well made for £170. Ive looked over the guitar and it is flawless. I wasnt aware this guitar was a homage to Prince,s Anderson Mad Cat.
  5. The first time I heard Snarky Puppy. Apart from Micheal's really tasteful amazing bass playing on this, Shaun Martins keys did it for me from 3.50. Astounding musicians all round.
  6. Love me some Roy Clarke. His playing on this US TV show is just..
  7. I wasn't aware of that records content and his history. I don't feel so entertained by him now..
  8. This guy is fantastic imo.Always been my sisters favourite. Live @ Jamm Jam. The bass playing is just so good. Not sure who is playing.
  9. His live piano and vocals on this... wow..
  10. These are killer 70's jazz basses. if I hadn't of got a Suhr...
  11. killer bass playing from Mars Jefferson.
  12. This bassline from Ernie Mckone just gets insane near the end of this fab Incognito record.
  13. Play some piano, a little harmonica, but I never really got into guitar. bought one of these. Ive heard great things. I do a lot of research etc before I buy any musical instrument. £99 for an ash bodied Tele.!!!!!?? It does make me wonder why I have a very expensive bass. Maybe in the future I might bypass a Fender Tele and get a Suhr. It is a Harley Benton TE30
  14. His greatest trick was releasing a song without any bass and recording one of the greatest records. The record company thought it was a demo and demanded he record it again with bass. He told them to release it as, or he wouldn't record anything else for them.. he really had a great head on him.
  15. This says it all.
  16. Sorry to be that guy who corrects people. But Peter was the bassist for Nearly Dan. He was a cracking bass player. Very excited to buy that Roscoe from Bass Direct he was. I do miss his presence and northern charm when we met. He was a great friend and a lover of funk and groove. I really miss him.
  17. Slap in context magic. imo.
  18. I don't get the hate. Used in a measured musical way, it can be really great.
  19. I was assuming the preamp on my jazz would conflict with the outboard preamp.? I presume the out board preamp bypasses the on board preamp.?
  20. I have an a active Jazz bass with no passive switch..Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I presume I can't plug into an out board preamp like a Sadowsky etc.?
  21. Excuse me if I have posted this before, but this guy is worth a repost for any bass player who may not have come across him. Chaka Khan,s musical director at the time I believe. He doesn't even read music. !!! . His playing is all fantastic but 5.00 onwards is just..
  22. I was a stand in for a bassist that let them down so excuse the music and playing.Im a little proud of my fill at 1.30 mind. 😆... It had a really fat tone as I remember. I must be getting my years wrong. This vid was published in 2009, so the bass was possibly purchased before 2010. 🤔
