  2. I just dont buy "the sound is in the fingers" thing. The style is in the fingers, not the sound/tone of a bass. Imo.
  3. Wow your hard to please. I played a BN5 a year ago and it was pretty special. though I would be hard pressed to find nothing at alI i liked about a bass of this pedigree

    Im not sure I want to do this tbh but the 4 string 70's Jazz thing is hitting me, I may withdraw this bass from sale/trade To buy one of these with this wood spec would be over £4500. i have no problem keeping it until the right bass comes up. Its a very special instrument this one.... Lakland 5594 Deluxe in Cherry Burst. Sounds beautiful, It really is one of the best sounding basses, everything from finger style funk growl to amazing slap and has amazing clarity all across the range of the fingerboard as you would expect from USA Lakland. It has some age related marks please ask if you want pics of... Its a swamp ash body with a quilted maple top, Bartolini pre with MM/J Bartolini's. Dual carbon rods and the frets were done by the masters at Lakland. The best birdseye maple neck ive seen on any bass ever period. New F Bass strings and comes with Lakland original hard case. trades I would be interested in.... 4 string only high end jazz basses.

  15. These earlier 5594's are just amazing instruments. My 5594 Deluxe has amazing resonance. GLWTS.
  16. I have some Newtone strings that have a tappered B E A string at the bridge on a 35 scale Lakland 5594. Great strings. I was wondering what other strings are available with the tapered B E A string in this spec.??. I believe this set are a custom set. I have called Newtone but have had no answer understandably. I want stainless steal hex core.
  17. Letting go of this monster of a cab. Sounds fantastic, great condition. a few marks on the bottom as expected. Comes with 2 Bergantino covers in great condition. Do ask if any more pics are needed.
  18. Im a huge Kirk Franklin fan and a huge gospel fan, I just so dig the genre.. I think some of the players who play in this genre are just such wonderful bass players in so many dynamics .Everything is great about his playing imo.. His fill at 3.30 is just killer.
