  1. We/some/most of us have heard it. Didn't know he played it on his Jazz bass. Although we only hear clips of his playing lets not forget how much of a beast of a player he is.. Fantastic drumming and keys.
  2. This should have been the attitude many many years ago..
  3. Just spotted this. New and old bass day. The Lakland neck just feels tiny. You may have noticed its missing some knobs. Bought it like that and in the post. And there is no way I'm paying £200 for a scratch plate. Think I have a black Jazz plate somewhere.
  4. I see this thread resonates with all of us.!! 😂
  5. Good luck with that risky strategy.
  6. I would never take my wife to Cash Converters.
  7. I wouldn't take it too seriously Paul. And skint is not literal. Its not really serious and for sure tongue and cheek. Im not getting a divorce over a bit of wood and metal..
  8. I could bury it for a while.
  9. She's mentioned selling it.. But Im not going to fall for her mind game sorcery. think i will hide it again. But better. I could even bury it for a while.
  10. Too late. I had to go with the "It was the best bargain I've ever seen on BassChat angle.. Which was true to an extent. She said she wasn't angry but disappointed I hid something from her. Which is worse in my experienced disappointed book. The anger is short and sharp, the disappointment drags on.
  11. So i bought a Lakland Jazz. Shouldn't have done really because im a little skint now. Put it in my case. Then the wife has just found it. Ive yet to go home explain it all away. Doh.
  12. Robbie Williams. Cant say it suprised me. There not totally stupid.
  13. Fantastic jazz basses. The best in the business.
  14. Same as the USA model without the quarter sawn neck and sexy top and USA tuners. A no brainer. I had one just like this and it was superb. Especially the LH3 and Hanson pickups.
  15. Just tighten them until there tight with a screw driver and move on with your life. 🙄
  16. Not Incognitos best bass player, but good all the same.
  17. Dya like dags.?
  18. I dont have the original guard Steve. Not sure how im going to template it. Might have to use my craft skills. 😆 Or maybe email Lakland.
  19. I was thinking about Sims. Would any of these guys have the correct Lakland screw spacing for the pickguard as there not all the same. I really dont want to drill more holes into this lovely Jazz.
  20. Thing is i dont have the original guard So im just after a guard regardless of where it comes from. Good quality of course.
  21. WOW.!!!
  22. Oh Mama. That is cool.
  23. Haven't seen this preamp before, and not sure when he introduced it probably years and I just haven't seen it. Does anyone have one of these.? Is it just a less comprehensive J Retro.? https://www.east-uk.com/index.php/bass/j-retro/j-tone101.html
  24. Its called photo flame for a reason. Its not in the wood. They spray a flame to look like flame maple on a veneer .Regardless they are still fantastic MIJ Jazz basses from this era and worth what he's asking for. they are quite rare especially in this colour.
