In the 20 + years of selling instruments ive never received the shit that ive just received on Face Book. Im selling a Mono M80 bag that is in great condition . The inner cable pocket thing has come away stitching wise. I started by selling it at £120, which was probably optimistic. I got comments like "set it on fire".. "Way over priced" etc.. I have never ever got this on Bass Chat.. If its over priced make me an offer. Me and my wife are really struggling financially which I didnt mention, in hindsight maybe I should have. I dropped the price to £90.. But no, still overpriced."could I stitch it myself" I would bet some of these darlings are on Bass Chat... I just dont get the outright destroying of someones for sale advert. Just PM me about a price. It is literal out and out vitriol. I will say I was so pissed off I sent some messages that were not very polite, unfortunately I have a temper. Why though I just dont get it. This would never happen on BC.

Im a big believer of the more metal in the way of the string vibration to the body the more compressed it will sound. There is nothing a Fender srew saddle cant do that a Hipshot A style cant. They are simple, you can adjust the string spacing. Its over thinking a design that doesn't need to be. Just like string through bridges blah blah. Buy a high mass then you have to shim the neck etc.

Fender Marcus Miller Jazz Bass White £1200

This JB75 is just fab.. 70s spacing also. £1,195..That is alot of coin for a used MIJ though.. £895 for the MIJ traditional....considering people are asking frankly ridiculous money for MIJ Marcus Millers atm these are a no brainer. I would even think twice.

Wow. These guys from Audio Circus want nearly half the price of a new pair.. for a plasic cable. just shocking.

well I cant see anything in the Mac or my phone. It just looks like something has unscrewed from the end of the jack and fallen off somewhere.?

Very cool Carl. The DAL's are the best Atelier's imo. You can always tell one because of the Alder body/Ash top forearm detail. That and the 70s pickup spacing..The necks are just fabulous also. You could get a sticker replacement from a custom sticker producer surely.Just scan it.. I had months of trying to getting anything from Johnny from Atelier Z. No hope.. I wouldn't bother with Danny Stewart either imo. Hes only interested in selling basses and getting commission which I found quite rude to be honest. I asked him if he could get a replacement preamp from Atelier Z, he wasn't interested..So a sticker.. maybe not.. Killer bass though Carl.

Thanks for the pic.. Was baffling me. I wonder if Beyer sell this bit.

Hi. I have some BD DT990s and for some reason that has totally baffled me. I proceeded to plug it in to my Macbook and no sound.it doesnt work plugged into my phone either.. Its like the plug isn't connecting. Its almost like something has come off the end. Can anyone shed some light on this or show me a picture of the connecting plug that they have for some Beyers. Here is a pic. Thanks

I owned a CS LTD Edition 1970 closet classic Jazz a long time ago, cost me just over a grand 15 years ago... Only 100 made. It was just fabulous. I wish i still had it. Would be north of £5000 now to get one. quater sawn neck, single coils . THE greatest neck on any jazz bass ive ever played period... Would I pay £5000 for one now. Not a chance...Way better Jazz basses out there. Traded it for a Modulus jj4. What an idiot.

Utterly fabulous. The guy is just groove central. Him Gene Perez, Meshell Ndegeocello. Desert Island bass players. His playing on this JB mash up is some of the greatest groove playing ive ever heard.

After the expense of an incoming Italian greyhound im going to drop some coin on one. Funnily enough I played one within the last week. It was the Sunburst one. I was really impressed ive got to be honest. Being a jazz bass fan and owned a Suhr,Sei, Modulus, Fender CS, MIJ Fender Jazz, it really was impressive. I would take one of the JJB300s over any Squier CV 70's Jazz bass. Just the feel of it for a start. Not a fan of the gloss necks on Squier jazz basses.. The neck was just amazing as roasted maple does feel. The pickups were powerful single coils. The frets were really great.. The only thing I might change is the pickups for some Aguilar 60's single coils... but those pickups were my choice for the Suhr....Stock sounded just like a 70's Jazz. A very comfortable 70's Jazz with a smaller Sadowsky(ish) body.. There is nothing not to like about these basses. imo. Kennys music are selling these for £299.

Did he actually say its a geniune SR5 though.?

Played a USA Fender Jazz, played a Sandberg Jazz. For a passive Jazz bass I would have neither, it would be a domestic market/non export MIJ/CIJ Jazz. Streets ahead. imo.

Looks wicked with the clear plate Carl. This is a killer 70s jazz and sounds like one. The Nordy preamp is fantastic. Up there with any high end Jazz 5 ive ever played. The neck for me is quite Lakland, nice and flat. Around £2500/3000 to have one like this built now, and Mas Hino wouldnt be building it.. GLWTS Carl.

Tesco Value. Comedy Gold. For the life of me I want to have a look but every time I try Ali Express I just get a ? on every item. Do you have a link.?

Yeah I think they are just getting going on the Bass front Oli so yeah a 5 would be cool... Ive owned 5 Sires now in between the higher end stuff and they are killer. the last one was a 1st gen V7 5 and the pickups sounded so good I only played it passive. But good lord it was heavy. Natural Ash Maple.. When we sell our house this year and are mortgage free and after a really tough 2/3 years, no man nor woman will have witnessed on Basschat the GAS and basses im going to acquire.. 😆

Owned one. But thankyou.

Has anyone heard of these basses?. I hadnt until recently. They have caught my eye and have a massive following with their guitars.. im looking for a budget Jazz bass and between a CV Squire and these the Jet caught my attention. Having to sell all my basses and gear and my mahoosive mortgage, bills etc, im looking to start again. They have a poplar body roasted maple neck. Bone nut, etc. The guy that designed them is from Lithuania i believe and they are made in China. Im leaning toward the Sunburst. Does anyone own one/ played one.?

I find some of these comments bizarre.. "the tuners aren't in line".? dont get that one..(probably best to realise that the pic is probably computer generated on certain parts) "The top looks like particle board". So it looks like MDF.? Really, does it really look like particle board.? Its an Artisan Custom Shop Fender..Thats what an Artisan Fender is.. So they use different parts that you wouldn't find on a period correct Jazz bass.. Im certainly no Fender fan boy but they are damned if they do and damned if they dont. I find most of the basses they keep churning out are just the same bass with a different paint job TBH.. If this was a Sadowsky or a Lull im betting everyone would have their pants down, but a Fender doing something different with a Burl top, Roasted flame maple neck and non period correct appointments... Oh no.. cant have that..

Love it.. That has got to be a very expensive CS.. I never understood the love for Spitfire pickguards, to me they dont look like Proper tortoise shell at all, the figuring just doesn't look like TS imo, they look digitally printed for want of a better word.
