  1. TBH I think the original is better. But I have to put music out there you see. Plus the bass playing is way better. ✌️
  2. I highly recommend this album.. Have listened to them for many years and they are as good as it gets Imo. Originally record by Carl Anderson ft Stevie Wonder who the song was written by. Covered by the Jackson 5 also. Reel People Ft, Incognito's Tony Momrelle. Just fabulous music.
  3. Early Incognito. Randy HOPE Taylor killing that bassline on the Moon (that is for sale on BC at the moment) Max Beesley Jnr on Percussion..
  4. Monster Player.!!
  5. That is just plain cool frtless Japan jazz bass. Love the cream pup covers.
  6. I don't there is a 6 string for a grand that is as good as these. Unless a certain Shuker is still for sale. I had the 5 string version and The TRB 6 II version. both amazing instruments.. Piano like tone with a growl.
  7. There is a Yamaha TRB6 first generation for sale on here for a grand or under at the moment. Not a six string comes close for that money. Imo
  8. Like this.Great humour in the vid too.
  9. Lovely bass. I was expecting to see a P pickup with a J pickup. But its a P Bass with humbuckers. How are the Jazz pickups going to fit. ?
  10. I post a lot of music. it may not be to everyones taste, but listening to music and more music is the best Imo. Then applying it to the bass. Lets face it Jaco had influences, Miller had influences. All the greats listened absorbed and applied.
  11. Originally recorded by The Jackson 5 I think. This is just so groovy. Poogie's drumming is epic as always. Fantasticlaid back playing by Marcus. As for the voice she has. Well its Donny Hathaway's daughter..Shes adopted some eastern influences in her vocal expression on this track.. and ys I've probably posted this before. ✌️
  12. Would you sell outright. I have a Focus 210 and the extra oomph.
  13. Obviously they are. http://schack-guitars.de
  14. I think music was way harder to make and learn an instrument many moons ago and there was a lot less of it..Now everyone and there dog is trying there hand at it. It was only 13 years ago I had a tape player to rewind back to the bass part, then rewind again, and again and again.. I think generally when you have to work harder for it, you get a better result. Not always of course. I will say this, the days of people like Stevie Wonder, Prince, Micheal Jackson, etc have long gone. At least in popular music. Its all become watered down somewhat.
  15. Fantastic 80's record whatever the bass is.
  16. Good vid too. No music reading which is interesting for such a prolific bass player and session man.
  17. Just picked the bass up. Turns out he checked the electronics, truss rod, action, and set it up amazingly for £28. He had the bass for 9 days. The Sei now plays beautifully with the low action I wanted. I can't recommend this guy enough. His name is Lance and is in the Evesham area.. https://www.guitarstudio.co.uk
  18. Jamiroquai's Space Cowboy with Mr X. Just wonderfully creative bass playing..Miles better than Zender's effort. He's just using that basses range to full effect.
  19. Its a different kind of bass playing but Jerry Preston's bass playing on this just superbly funky. This to me is a bass line.
  20. Great bass playing.
  21. Pino's playing on this record is just amazing Imo.
  22. Danuman you just reminded me of this. Probably the best finger style for the record bass playing I've ever heard. Apart from some of James Jamerson's playing .
