  1. You can buy industrial degreaser from Halfords. Spray the string and scrub with a fine brush or kitchen spong ( hard side). Degreaser strips all the grimE out of the windings. Like new.
  2. Yes it came with chrome covers etc. Are you saying there are no drill holes at all in the body.?
  3. I had an MIJ Non Export 75 RI from 96, its was just lovely, 70's pickup spacing.. Had a Marcus Miller tone for sure. Played one with the 60's spacing and really couldn't tell the difference. Put an Audere preamp in it and it was a beast. The MIJ 75 RI's are fantastic. GLWTS
  4. As Lewis said, thats a LongHorn with an added J pup.
  5. His name is Danny and it's Bass Japan Direct.
  6. Incredible walnut.. Faces I see in that top wood. !!
  7. Im going to/or Ped is going to post his original Funk and Groove thread from 2009. But I think Ped needs a bit of time to embed the original content properly. Lets see. There are some absolute cracking Funk and Groove on it..
  8. Thanks Mick. He showed me music that I hadn't heard before, and his passion for funk and groove, so I pass it on.He would even call me and play me a track he had heard that was cool over the phone. You got to respect where you get your influences from. Especially from such a lovely man.
  9. I've seen him play that bass live. It sounded epic. Link doesn't work for me, but I presume it's Incognito, ColibrI. . ?
  10. Sonically its horrendous for me. But Picasso is horrendous for my eyes also. just sayin.
  11. Thinking Outside the Box . Haven't heard it for ages. As most of his albums they are full of great drumming and musicianship. Always funky/neo soul. One of my favourite from this album. Great lyrics and she says it all about Bush.
  12. We all need more pics of this bad boy.
  13. This thread was always part 2 of Pete's (Pete Academy) original. A little tribute of his passing today.. He told me this was always one of his favourites to play live.
  14. Randy HOPE Taylor's solo on this is just amazing. Starts at 2,40. the perfect finger style mixed with slap and the double stop pop. Just an incredible bass player. Imo.
