  1. Sire V7 5 string Jazz for sale. Most know how amazing these instruments are, so I won't bang on about them.. I had a previous V7 5 with an ash body and it was too heavy. I sent it back, to order this one with the alder body and it is lighter. 9.8 pounds on my scales. This bass has been played a few times in a smoke free room, Ive had it for 2 months and its never been taken out of the house. Its immaculate. Not a single scratch or blemish is on this instrument.. Ive set this bass up myself, with a new set of DR Low Riders. You could get a lower action if required, but its quite low imo.. Comes in original Marcus Miller box. And the outer box from Thomann. I've got another 5 string Jazz coming, so this is up. Will trade for a 4 string Jazz or 4 string P bass, if there are any about. ? I got this bass for £430 new, so I think its a fair price for a used/ brand new instrument. I don't have a hard case so would rather not post in the original box. But I can meet up within a reasonable distance. I would rather the buyer come round and play it to be honest, but I'm flexible. If any more pictures are wanted, do say. .
  2. Very cool. Love the no pickguard look too.
  3. Like BlueyJay said. Unplug when not in use. The jack into the socket will activate the preamp, regardless of if your playing it or not.. Thus draining the battery.
  4. The Maruszczyk was really really lovely, so nice to play. But it wasn't a Sei. Glad your enjoying the Elwood mate.
  5. All are fantastic albums. I do cherry pick. This is just fantastic. !!
  6. Donald Fagen, keys/vocals, Bernard Purdy, drums. Denny Dias and Elliot Randall, guitar/s.. Chuck Rainey's bass playing on this record, is some of the best groove playing I've ever listened to. There is always something new, when he plays.
  7. Yeah that Modulus was great. Got a pic I took of it. Tone wasn't there for me though. I wonder also.? Come to think of it, I think I traded it for the SR5 in this pic. That Ostinato Jazz, 4th from the left was another great. Got it from the gallery.
  8. It's decoration only with no warranty
  9. I was playing this Sei with Dan mate. Sold it after I left that band..
  10. After many years without "the one I shouldn't have let go", I've managed to get it back. I sold it to the previous/now owner, probably 8 years ago and I've missed it ever since. I asked him 2 years ago if he would let it go, but no joy, that and I didn't have the right cash. By chance I messaged him, and he's looking to sell it.. Great timing or what.! Its a stunning instrument, with THAT Sei loveliness, and the great U Retro. Easily the best bass I've ever played. Thanks Steve. My excitement has got the better of me. After an 8 year wait, and a 6 hour drive, she's back. Nothing wrong with a Sire that I just sold but playing this, is just a totally different experience. Its just sublime. As I remember, its soooo light for a swamp ash 5 string. On my digital scales its 8.1 pounds. Adjustable string spacing from 19mm to 17.5 on the ABM bridge. I found out, It was made in the early 2000's, Has an Olive Wood top, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, Birdseye maple neck. 2 piece american swamp ash body, single coil Bartolini 59j's, East U retro ( I think). Im sure Molan and Gwillym can remember this bass.
  11. I would dearly love this bass back. Do you own this bass, Would you sell it back to me please.. Its an Sr5 in Blue Pearl, with a matching headstock.
  12. Just interested, but didn't Lodestone do this type of headstock. ? Or did Status get there first. Its such a great design, but im sure more costly.
  13. Is it just a HiFi sounding bass with a Jazz Bass body.?
  14. No, I hadn't.........but damn you. I got the Gas for that.!!
  15. Your asking Bill Fitzmaurice about fart frequencies
