it does say "new lower price" maybe the price hasn't come down in EU yet?
well lets hope so. I can understand paying more for U.S. made gear because of Taxes/ duty etc. But surely it should work both ways

Just noticed that you can save over $200 on the price of the German made Tecamp Puma 900 in the U.S. when compared with prices here. They cost $999 dollars in the U.S.( http://www.austinbas...new-lower-price) However after currency conversion they come in at $1204 (£719) at Thomann.

Agreed to full asking price for JH82BASS' gear. Then no contact from him for 48 hours, despite PM's from me. Then he tells me he has sold to someone else. Would never deal with this seller again.

And not a sign of a slap, crackle or pop.....very refreshing. Lovely playing

Go straight to the For sale section here on Basschat and purchase the Tecamp 212 500 combo. This is as good as you will get at the asking price. Tremendous value

love it!
Ay, I have one, and I'm super impressed. 1/3 of the price of the Berg CN212...(although I would still like the Berg, the GB is excellent).
Same as above for me. At this price someone is going to get an absolute bargain. Fair dues to the seller for passing on the savings from the recent blow out
It's a way to avoid actually buckling down and learning stuff...

True, generally it means you're in a rut with your playing

People usually buy stuff irrationally because they think it will make them happier. It does, temporarily, which is why they keep doing it.

GAS mostly comes from not playing enough with the gear you already have.
All of these. I recently heard a guy play a cheap Squire through a Markbass 1X12 combo with no P.A. support and his tone sounded fabulous. We spoke after the gig and he told me he had been playing with the same gear for over 10 years and had no intention of spending money any time soon on equipment. He reckoned that the gear he had was as good as he needed, and after hearing him I had no hesitation in agreeing.

That is just mad! Totally crazy stuff -
Ah, gotcha. TBH, the thought of Geddy's current voice tackling the old stuff fills me with dread...
An even bigger worry is the thought of them releasing yet another DVD
Hello ! Sadly I have to sell my beloved Jazz Bass from 1968. Everything on this one is original. The bass is Olympic White with matching headstock. The condition is near mint, simply amazing for a bass of this age. Comes with its original Fender hard case and the pickups covers. The sound of this bass is incredible, the best Jazz I owned. The bass is in Paris, France, but I can send it with full insurance and tracking to the UK. I have already sold a bass here, my feedback on basschat : http://basschat.co.u..._1#entry1718299 I will soon make some more pictures of the neck stamp, the pots...
What is the weight of the bass please?

I would be inclined to stick with what you have got. IME unless a piece of kit really fails to impress, I would hang with it for the medium term at least in order to get familiar with it. A 900W head is always going to be big in the power stakes and the Puma does not lie, so no mystery there. The on line reviews of this amp are pretty accurate so it should not offer any surprises or disappointments. What it does, it does really well. The only issue with this amp might be that it does not offer any serious break up when driven hard, but this is not what the Puma is about. I reckon paired with your barefaced cab, you have a set up that is as close to as good as it gets in terms of a lightweight rig. Best to sit back, play and enjoy IMO
Same here! Had the money ready for a CN as well but caught the GAK sale.
For that money the NX2-212T is such a quality cab and it has completely cured my GAS (at least for now)

I am using the Puma with electric bass driving a Genz Benz Nx2-212T. Lots of power on tap here but this does not present a problem for me. I just set my gain at a level that just keeps the preamp from clipping and use the master to control volume. I really like the Puma. The EQ is very intuitive and I love the Taste control. One of the best class D amps on the market IME. I am not familiar with Barefaced big baby but according to the Barefaced website, the Puma in terms of power, should be a good match. I do not see how a less powerful amp will offer you any advantages.
Just to let you know amp is now home and seems at full health again. It arrived on weds (not sure when but when I got home from work it was sitting on my doorstep where courier had left it - thankfully it didn't rain weds and nobody nicked it) and I used it at rehearsal last night. Sounds bloody lovely! Thanks to all involved and let's hope (fingers crossed) it goes on to be a faithful workhorse for me.
Best of luck with the amp. Super outcome and delighted that the retailer got involved. However the courier could have ruined your day.
